More Dem Mandates

This is one of my BIGGEST Problems with the Dems. Fucking Government mandates and dictating how we MUST Live our life. More and more Government regs and dictations.

TG the Pugs are in favorer of less government controls a smaller government.

How in the hell would this "program" be over-seen ?
Set up another new agency that would pry into our private lives ?

Remove our personal rights,
If an illness is found that may requirer blood transfusions, what about religions rights ?

What would be the penalty if I missed my annual check-up ? REMOVE me from health care plan ? THEN we don't universal health care do we ? Go to jail ? Pay a fine for not doing something for free ?

So now I am going to be a lawbreaker because I did not follow a Mandate ? I guess I am fucked if my car is dead and I have no phone or money to call a cab on my "appointed date.

Hmmm maybe we will set up another new program. National Taxi Service{no charge] to whisk us off to our Government Issued Doctor's Office.

Preventive Healthcare, is just that "preventive."

Why focus on the end, when preventive is most definitely a different approach.

The ONE thing that I'm completely against is "unfunded" Mandates from Republicans, while they call it "good legislation." Do you want to talk about "No Child Left Behind" and what a huge success that unfunded MANDATE has been?

The "idea" is to nip shit in the bud - before it gets bad - before it is worse for the person, their family and the taxpayers

If we're to have some form of Universal Health Care, then "preventive" healthcare should be mandantory!

I'd rather pay my dentist a few dollars every year for preventive care, then thousands of dollars later on down the line for dental surgery.

If my tax dollars are going to be paying for it, then I want to make sure that we're doing more in preventive medicine, than after the fact.

What did Benjamin Franklin say? "An ounce of cure, is worth a pound of prevention?"

If Uncle Sam is going to "tax" us to pay for it, I want to mandate the preventive measures to prevent escalating costs.

I see where you're going with this.

Medicare, and Medicaid come to mind. It was supposed to help with rising healthcare costs, and now it's what some refer to as a welfare/entitlement programs.

There are too many middle men between me, and adequate/competent health care.

Insurance providers, health maitenance organizations, loop holes, politicians, trial lawyers, and all of them are pointing the fingers at each other, while those in need of healthcare, and those providing it are caught in the middle.

Surely you're not suggesting that "mandantory preventive care" is going to make things worse.

I currently cannot afford a health care policy of any kind. I do have "catastophic health insurance," but that takes years to collect after I've filed for bankruptcy, and jumped through years of red tape with the insurance companies fighting them to keep there end of our agreement.

But no, I guess your right, Uncle Sam can't possibly do a better job managing any of this.

As a taxpayer, I'm more concerned with how all of this gets paid for.

Government, regardless of which party is in power, isn't in the business of making money, they just print it.

So like Chance1, I'd like to have some more questions answered, before I sign on to John Edward's plan, but I'm willing to give him a listen before I lose my freaking mind!
