More or Less?

Sorry, I haven't a clue what "non GMO shit" is.

Celebrity versions of TV shows?

I could probably write a whole essay explaining what GMO is and the whole controversy surrounding it. GMO stands for genetically modified organism, which is a process where a gene for a certain desirable trait is artificially inserted into the DNA of the organism that the technician wants to change. That process has become ubiquitous in the American, and I also believe Canadian, food processing industry in the last thirty years or so. Apparently the laws in Europe are much more restrictive on GMOs, so there might not be much of it going on there. I'm not sure where Britain stands on GMOs. If it isn't being done over there, you probably wouldn't know what GMOs are.

Not surprisingly, GMOs are controversial, but most processed foods in the States probably have them. Generally, if anything has soy, corn (excluding sweet corn as a vegetable), canola/rapeseed, or cottonseed in it, is probably GMO unless it is specifically labeled organic. Yep, your tortilla chips are probably genetically modified. But if we've been eating it for 30 years without apparent ill effects, it's probably not killing us, at least not anymore than all the other shit we eat.

In the last few years there have been many food processors that have been labeling their products as non-GMO. I suppose that might be a good thing for consumers that want to avoid them. But they've extended the practice to items that you wouldn't expect to have GMO ingredients. Kind of like the practice of labeling fruits and vegetables as cholesterol-free, when anyone with half a brain knows those items don't have cholesterol in the first place. Probably the use of the "Non GMO" label should be restricted to items where there are GMO items on the market.

As for celebrity versions of TV shows, I would say less.
