I'm not sure, since I haven't attended too many. I might say more, if it means more good comedians. But I can see a potential downside. If there are lots of comedians that aren't funny, and the clubs are too pushy with their drink minimums or they're too high priced, I might be inclined to say less.

Coming from the United States, I don't see any reason for a monarchy in any form to exist. Not to say that our republican (small r) form of government is working out too well right now. Though I have to admit that watching the pomp and circumstance of the largely defanged version of the British royal family is interesting. And you seem to be having your problems with Parliament and government right now as well.
