No Animated GIFs Mormon Church Leader, Accused In Penis-Biting Attack

lol my mormon friend just couldn't help but shake his head. he is from around that area too.

In the end, I guess it is a frivolous cause for me to champion, and on J U B of all places, with openly bigoted anti-religious posts and threads not just tolerated, but celebrated.

But this isn't about religion. It isn't about the LDS. It's about the man: who he is, his position in the church, and his power over his 'people' which let him betray them. It wouldn't matter which church he belonged to. He was a church official who committed a heinous crime against a young girl, and people need to be warned about him.

There have been hundreds if not thousands of threads in this forum about priests and congressmen and senators and actors and singers and many, many other professions who have made the headlines over the years. Their occupations are included in those headlines to make people take notice.

Why is it suddenly bigotry to announce that Guzman was a church official who molested a young girl? What protection does he deserve above all the others who have done the same thing?

There's no bigotry. I don't hate the Mormons. I'm not against the religion. I'm not bothered when they come knocking at my door. And I expect that most of the other posters here who agree with the headline have no problem with Mormons, either. To call us bigots is just not a nice thing to do simply because we agree with one word the Post used.

It's not a frivolous cause, but it's wrong to label us as bigoted and anti-religious simply because we don't agree with you.
