Moscow Mitch

Mitch really doesn't like that moniker :rotflmao:
And who'dathunk it would work?

McConnell backs election security amendment after facing criticism [Politico]
Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said Thursday he is backing a measure to improve election security after Senate Democrats slammed him for blocking bipartisan election security legislation.

The amendment to an appropriations package would provide an additional $250 million to the Trump administration to assist states with improving their voting systems and preventing foreign interference.

^ The problem is that the Executive branch has no interest in spending this money.

Watch them put it toward the wall, claiming that that will improve 'security'.

Moscow Mitch... Rich Mitch... hard to chose which one is better. :)

Well... not the Russian flag but... oops.

Why is Moscow Mitch finally going balls out in revealing his support of Putin and Russia? Does he owe them money, too? Has his campaign staff had undeclared foreign agents working hard for him, too? Does Putin have compromising intel on everyone in Washington?

All it takes is a roofie and some pee tapes - or worse.

And he's one of the Senators up for re-election this year:

^ And he will easily win his seat......sigh.

Like something from Grimm's Fairy Tales, McConnell seems to be rotting from the inside out...

Fact check: These are not altered images - they came from AP photographers.

^ Prof. Dumbledore suffered a similar affliction. It killed him. (Well, Snape avada kadavraed him, but even if he hadn't, the horcrux would have done him in.)

Seriously, though, that does not look healthy, and I don't think it's due to Marvolo Gaunt's ring.

What's weird is that his hands didn't look like that a week ago when he debated McGrath. Usually when someone falls or gets injured, it's on one side. Both of his hands look swollen and bruised, the right is worse than the left.

He's the video from the debate a little over a week ago:

That is some bad bruising......

And it looks like his face is bruised, too.

McConnell had polio as a child and he has some residual weakness in his left leg. However, he's been falling a lot lately. In the video above, he trips on a rug and falls. Earlier this year, he fell and broke his shoulder.

This latest bruising opens up the question about McConnell's health. He's 78 and he's running for another term that would end when he's 84 years old. There is a syndrome called post-polio syndrome that can appear decades after childhood polio where symptoms like muscle weakness recur. It may be that McConnell is getting to an age where his physical health is failing and these frequent falls are a sign that his overall health is on the decline.

McConnell leads his opponent, Amy McGrath, by one point in the polls done after their debate (which explains the panicky texts that I've been getting from his campaign asking for money). It would be a major upset if McGrath ends Moscow Mitch's rein of terror in the Senate.

Definitely from a fall, because if he is bruising like that from co-agulopathy....then he shouldn't be out and around where he is at great risk of COVID and falls.

It won't matter. Biden can just do what Trump did and use recess appointments or acting posts for two years and then hope the senate flips in 2022.

That's what I'm thinking. Given Mitch's paranoia about COVID-19 (he knows if he gets it, he's probably toast), I can't imagine that he can keep the Senate in session enough to bypass Biden's recess appointments.

Hypocrisy is republican strategy and policy; intentional, calculated, weaponized. They are nearly all completely immoral, without honor, or integrity, or loyalty to the Constitution. The end always justifies the means regardless of the consequences. To a republican, being called a hypocrite is praise, because to them, it validates that they are accompliishing their objectives.
