Most Bisexuals Prefer Masculine Gays?

I'm atracted to girls and masculine gay guys. I've noticed that quite a lot bisexual guys prefer masculine gays over feminine gays. Some said that if they want someone femininity they would be with a girl. What are your thoughts about this?

Do you prefer masculine gays over feminine gays?

I'm bi and agree with you 100%

If by "feminine" you mean that you can tell they are gay by the rainbow bead bracelet, pink "Fabulous" shirt and Britney Spears hat, then no, that won't get my attention.

However, say they were naked in the lockerroom I'd definitely look. Maybe invite them for a one-nighter! You never know if the flamingest queen can be a real dominator in the bedroom! To date regularly, however? No, definitely not. Not any more than I'd go for a girl who could fit in with the butchest of bull dykes!

Masculine. No tough, leather guys though, I don't need to sport wounds or bruises the next day.

I pretty much agree with most of the previous comments. But I'm not into overtly masculine guys, no Muscle Mary's for me thank you. I just find confidence in being a male and not conforming to societies and cultural standards attractive.

Mind you, on the woman front, my ex-girlfiend (6 years ago now) was too feminine for me, and that is not the gay in me speaking. I found her frailty and passiveness really unattractive, maybe that is why I broke up with her. But I find myself to being attracted to females that are stronger and more assertive. I don't look at women as submissive weak creatures, it is 2007, that was abolished so long ago. To me, their beauty is in their strength. That said. I don't like butch masculince woman that are more manly that I am.

I'd have to side with Buffboxer, and Paladin on this one. Gay guys are deff more into more masculine guys. I'm gay myself, and have been a bit confused in the past as to whether I was mildly homophobic even because of my dislike of hardcore queens.

To be honest I think that theirs far more masculine gay guys then there are flaming queens, but because they can't really hide it, the queens are the ones who get peoples attention, while the masculine guys can hide it, and do. Thats why we end up with married guys who take a lot of "business trips".

Men in general are taught to be, and value masculinity at a very young age. A young boy that plays with a doll is wrong, and needs to have his behavior altered, while a girl who climes trees, and plays with guns is a cute little tomboy. I think that if these standards for men didn't exist, then we wouldn't value masculinity so much, and we would not be so attracted to it.

I'm going to stop here. I'm tired of ranting. lol

I loved thugged-out Gangster, masculine guys. I cant stand fems! I mean you're a guy for a reason but I'm not gonna diss them, they are just not my type. I love the muscles and etc. But what i love if them bottoming to me.

I agree. I mean if that's your demeanor, then be who you are. But I hate when guys are all "What's up girl, girlfriend or bitch" I am a man. I don't allow my gay friends to greet me that way. To each his own, but if I wanted to be with someone fem...I'd be with a female.

I'm going to have to go with the majority on this one. I vastly prefer masculine men. I don't like guys who fit the gay and bi stereotypes. Effeminate guys honestly irritate me. While a generalization, I find them to be materialistic and bitchy, and it's not necessarily that they're entirely like women that bothers me, but rather the fact that they seem to take the worst qualities of women and combine them with the worst qualities of gays and men. No offense to those feminine guys on this site or those who are into them. There's room in this world for everyone. I just don't want "everyone" in my bedroom :).

What's a bi stereotype according to you?
I don't know. Truthfully, I sort of just threw that in there. I have a tendency whenever I talk about gay issues to just say "gays and bisexuals" almost as a form of PC-ness, even though I realize, being bisexual myself, the difference between the two. I don't know why I do it, but I do. There isn't really a mainstream bi stereotype except perhaps of a person who is extremely loose all-around. What I was attempting to say though was just that the general stereotype of gays as we know it is that gays are very effeminate, fashion conscious, catty, Madonna-loving, lisping, sashaying sort of queens, which we know is far from the truth for the majority, so I'm just saying that I don't find those gay men (OR bi men) who embody this stereotype to be attractive.

An excellent point. Understandable from here at least.

The whole question about androgyny is interesting though. As long as androgyny isn't reflecting too much fem, I find it very interesting. It's also interesting that so many lead singers in rock bands have such charateristics. Almost like it strikes some fundamental chord, and a reflection of an uncomfortable but apparent common taste.

On the basis of my own and my first lover's experience, I would say that we we never doubted each other's emerging masculinity (we were only fifteen) as we saw and experienced it frequently over a period of two years. Our comments on the changes we observed in each others' bodies were always kind. Our other male classmates were, on average, more concerned about projecting a macho image than we were.

I add that neither of us has ever shown a preference for masculine women!!!

Peace!

I have to agree, if I want a fem I would get a girl. I want the man to be masculine, doesn't have to be masculine body wise though.

But I can't see myself with a skinny guy.

I prefer masculine gay or bi guys. I never actually thought about it it's just the way I am. I can't stand the feminine ones! Although occasionally I may find them attractive depending on their personality. I do like twinks but that doesn't mean they're fem, they just look young.

And yes I love girly girls. Not the masculine ones!
