Most Boring Movie....EVER!

"the english patient" and "brokeback mountain."

Wag the Dog - Fifteen of us walked out the movie theaters and a bunch of us wanted to punch a friend who thought it was THE best movie ever and brought 15 of us in the theater. We all walked out about 3/4 of the movie. It was the MOST boring movie ever and I normally like Dustin Hoffman and DeNiro

The English Patient - Zzzzzzz

Eyes Wide Shut - My eyelids wanted to shut on their own because of this movie.

The Notebook- Everyone else seemed to love this movie, but it was so long and drawn out.

I completely agree on both counts. Every year, my friend Carrie tries to get me to watch the English Patient and every year I fall asleep before the first 30 minutes has passed. I just didn't enjoy Brokeback as much as the rest of the gay world did.

I agree, for the most part. But, I do love this movie because it is the first movie in a looooong time that actually made me cry. It's a good story, and the book is good, but the movie is very drawn out.

Punch Drunk Love.

a movie about two boring, ugly losers who settle for each other since they realize that although there's nothing about the other one that's remotely attractive, they're the best either one is ever going to get.

There's a bit of attempt at intrigue with some phone sex performer trying to black mail Adam Sandler, but even that's just kinda.. who cares?

I was just going to say The English Patient! The only reason I watched it in the first place was because it was supposedly reputable, and I struggled so hard to finish it (I did, though).

Brokeback Mountain worked for me. There may not have been a lot of dialogue but I think that was intended. It's one of my favourite movies.

Yeah.. I Heart Huckabees reminded me of those stupid drama improv groups and comedy troups.

Far more people than just the "gay world" enjoyed Brokeback Mountain.

the story of us.

nobody knows about that movie and i get it, is bOOOOring.

Oops, I almost forgot: A.I. , that horrible Stephen Spielberg/Stanley Kubrick collaboration. That ending dragged on FOREVER. All I kept thinking is...will this movie ever end?

Yeah, and when it did I was like "THAT's the end?"

A.I. was one of the stupidest movies ever.

Boring is really subjective. Movies like Gerry and Lost in Translation are mood pieces that are intentionally slow and languid to fit the emotions of the characters. But of course it is perceived as pretentious and alienates most people.

To me a really boring movie is when the movie doesn't make you empathize with the characters. e.g. We Are Marshall. Don't ask me why I even watched it.

To be honest, I thought that Crash was a snore fest. I know everyone else on earth loved it but I thought it was a pretentious pile of crap. Slow-moving and just had a bunch of two-dimensional characters. No story but a whole lot of liberal angst and guilt.

That it got nominated for an Oscar is proof to me that most of the academy has altzheimer's.

Rent, the Hulk, Batman Begins, and Spanglish are the first ones that come to mind right now.

I like the Batman one but I'm with you on the rest. I never got Spanglish which seemed to send the message that we shouldn't feel sorry for the Mexicans trimming my lawn since the'yre happier being poor and working for slave wages. Essentially it was about a story of a woman who intentionally ruins her daughters life so she doesn't make anything more of herself other than a maid and how the daughter was fine with it after a little tantrum.

And yeah.. boring.

The Postman with Kevin Costner..big snore!!Zzzzzzzzzz..

Oops, I almost forgot: A.I.

Are you kidding> I loved Teddy, he was the cutest thing ever lol. I dont quite remember the movie all i remember is Teddy. He damn near stole the show.

Teddy should have gotten an oscar nomination for supporting "Actor."
