After reading (and loving) the book Dune, I expected the film to be one of the best ever.

What a horrible waste of time, and diversion from the book, that movie was! Yuck!

P.S. I thought Juno was a cute, and entertaining, pic..

Without a doubt, Lost In Translation. It got so many rave reviews I assumed it would have to be good .... WRONG!!! It was the most boring crock of shit I've ever watched!

I was going to say any of the Star Wars movies until I saw Ozguys coments above and have to agree with him, it was a total waste of time and money.

I'm going wa-a-a-a-a-a-a-ay back to Citizen Kane, with Gone With The Wind running a close second.

I had to turn both of them off or risk falling asleep.

Probably Phantom Menace. Although not exactly critically praised, there seemed to enough excitement about new Star Wars movies that even critics were bouncing up and down in their seats. I didn't even mind the whole JarJar thing - it was "that damn kid" that drove me to distraction.

Lex

The Marine.

Most Boring Movie Ever.

You'd think that an action movie, with John Cena as the star, would keep you awake, but no. I think I fell asleep like half way through. Here's a little spoiler... First plenty of action, then none, and repeat until movie ends.(I think)

And before I forget.. Dragonwars. They started with an AWESOME concept, but they literally, and liberally, destroyed it.

On a side note, Juno was a good movie IMO. The music was representative of the audience is was targeting(I believe younger adults and teens), and the movie was refreshing to all of the other "teen movies" out there. Also, I'd like to point out it was the writers first screenplay.

Donnie Darko

Simply due to the fact that I HATE time paradoxes, it's such a sloppy , shitty, lazy, pathetic deus ex machina. But donnie took the time paradox shit one step further, the movie never even happened, TADAA! theres a few hours of my life I'l never see again.

Oh, I forgot Clash of the Titans. Even Harry Hamlin's bulge couldn't save that stinker:

The only one I can think of is "In the Mouth of Madness."
For some reason I was really excited to watch it, but it ended up being a piece of shit with horrible special effects.

My votes are:
the ENTIRE M. Night Shyamalan collection
The Terminal
Star wars. All of them. Why they're classics I'll never know.
Battle Royale. I read and loved the book, the film pales far in comparison.

Any of those parody movies they've been coming out with for the past few years. They should have stopped at Scary Movie 2. After Meet the Spartans, I just wanted to throttle the morons that gave these movies the green light.

Oh and RENT after all the good things I heard of it i went to see the movie, COMPLETE CRAP. All it was was stupid whiney brats who think they shouldn't have to pay rent. UGH

ugh the Village

On a psychological level THE VILLAGE was great.

You may have been disappointed because you wanted more of a shock with the reveal.

The movie was less about the reveal and more about what would drive people to make up this community.

It was used in my friends abnormal psych class sophomore year. It and Seven.

"The Forgotten"

Every trailer said that the ending was more surprising than the Sixth Sense. It turns out that the surprise was that there was no surprise.
