Most Disappointing Movie You've Ever Watched?

Again, like Star Wars, The Exorcist was ahead of its time as far as horror movies go. Granted, it would be a box office disaster today, but it scared a helluva lot of people when it was first released.

I understand that. But since I wasn't alive when it came out, obviously, I cannot judge the movie as if I was from that time frame so...to me, it sucks. Wasn't the effects, the visuals...the acting performances were good and solid...I don't know how to explain it but the whole thing just didn't do ANYTHING for me except providing me a couple of laughs.

300
Pretty much any modern horror movie
Transformers
Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Skull - No Connery = lame

Im sure there are more but I cant think.

I know that your opinion is completely yours, but can i just categorically state, i j'adored The Science of Sleep. I class it as one of my favourite movies of all time, sometimes movies dont need an enthralling narrative to keep focus, its definately one of the most imaginative movies out there!

P.S. That was not a direct attack to your ideas, just a difference of opinion. Kisses
:-)

Hey, no problemo. That wasn't mean at all. I really liked the visuals in the movie and how things seemed almost childish in his mind, but I found his character annoying at times and it didn't seem to be going anywhere. Nonetheless, I'm still a big fan of Michel Gondry and his craziness.

I would have to say Jurrasic Park 3, the first one was fantastic in my opinion and the second one was okay but the third one was just complete shit.

It does that for those of us who watched it first-hand many years ago but have since grown up. We laugh right along with you now. The only chills it stirs for us now is the memories of how we felt when we first watched it.

At the time, though, there was nothing like it anywhere. It was innovative and broke new ground and spawned a whole slew of imitations and knock-offs, which made it stand out even more. It was a first of its kind. There were a lot of BG&G movies (Blood, Guts, & Gore), but I can't remember another movie which showed us pea soup puke.

Remember, that was back in a time when Hollywood still had original ideas. They don't have too many of those these days.

The Dark Knight & Wall-e (!)(!)(!)..|:gogirl:

Okay, not the MOST but, probably the most overrated movies of the year.

Tell me about it. It's so rare to find, from an artistic point of view, a good Hollywood movie. Some I enjoy just because of the entertainment they provide, however, I know where to look when I want real and meaningful movies. Hollywood sucks hhairry donkey balls!!!

I agree, for the time whenn it came out, The exorcist was really one of a kind in a way and open a lot of dors.
