I say JUB buys it and we all go live over there. ..|

The JUB mansion!!!! (!)(!)(!)(!)(!)(!)(!)(!)

You know I would be perfectly happy by just being a neighbor of that house :-)

Tell ya what -you buy the house next door. Then prop up some ladders for weeks on end. Set up some old cars on blocks in the yard. Dig a hole for a pool and never finish it. Chain about a dozen pit bulls in the yard. Raise peacocks.

Then when you've lowered the value of your neighbor's property sufficiently, we'll team up and buy it.

But be warned -you'd better be prepared to get that shit out of your yard before we move in.

You know, even at 3% commission, if it sells for $75 million, John McMonigle stands to rake in $2,500,000.

Not a bad day's work.

Disgusting. That's too much money for any one person to have.

That's a damn hotel.

I think you had better read the ad again - tis a home/estate.

Hala Ranch, with its 56,000-square-foot main house and multiple secondary buildings, is perhaps the most magnificent property ever offered for sale anywhere in the world. The pristine beauty of the mountains, the breadth of the offering, and the grandeur of the architecture combine to create a residence that is quite simply beyond compare.

Perched high on its 95-acre site, Hala Ranch is the rarest of offerings. Handsome mahogany wood is used throughout, along with custom hand-cast solid-bronze hardware. Stone columns and massive timber beams make this the quintessential Aspen mountain home.

Designed by the renowned architectural firm of Hagman Yaw, Hala Ranch can accommodate the grandest in entertaining. The expansive great room, with its woodburning fireplace, handcrafted stained glass and metalwork, is the ideal venue for entertaining guests. Enormous windows throughout the home frame the wraparound views of the Rocky Mountains. A full commercial kitchen serves the residence.

The private quarters of Hala Ranch pamper. The master wing has a complete beauty and barber room for massages, pedicures, and styling. Three junior suites on the main level open to a courtyard with a reflecting pool, flowers, and a waterfall. Patios are found off all the bedrooms. A private children’s wing comprises four bedroom suites and a sitting room.

The property can accommodate a large staff, with designated areas on the lower level of the main house and in surrounding structures including an estate manager’s house and a ranch manager’s residence. The estate is fully self-sufficient. A dedicated wastewater treatment plant and mechanical shop with a car wash and gasoline pumps serve the property. An extensive and sophisticated security system surrounds the entire 95-acre estate, ensuring peace of mind and the utmost in protection.

All manner of recreation is afforded here, including an indoor pool, a steam room, an exercise room, a regulation-size indoor racquetball court, a tennis court, a fishing pond, cross-country ski trails, and an enormous firepit. For the equestrian, superb facilities are provided by a heated haybarn and a heated stable.

The legacy of Hala Ranch is one of unrivaled beauty. This sanctuary of timeless tranquillity elevates the standards of luxury and comfort to previously unimagined levels

That does not read as if it were a hotel - tis an estate/ranch.

It is beautiful but the front of the home looks a litte too much like a church to me.

Don't forget....one of the Hearst's mansions is up for sale for $165 million

I think that any of these would work well as the JUB mansion...but personally...I prefer that it be in California.

That house is amazing, but is it really only 22000 sq ft with all of the mall, etc, too? I mean I've been in a 9,000 sq ft house with the same number of bedrooms as the one posted above (But at a cost of 1.2 mil), but the one above still looks much bigger.

House has a mini-mall, diner/malt shop and jewelry store.

What the hack do you need a mini mall and other stores in your house for?

Someone is sitting in the kitchen of that house and thinks "i really need to buy a new dress and new jewels. Let's go to the mini mall 5 rooms further". #-o

You can't measure the value of a property by just the size of the home....location...location...location...

Corona Del Mar is a beautiful, very expensive city. The rocks at the bottom of the property are probably tide pools filled with all kinds of wildlife. It is one of the nicest places to live in the country.

The cheapest single family home in corona del mar right now is over $1.4 million.

It is kind of odd. I'm not sure why but if I was going to guess....a lot of those larger homes have a lot of fundraisers in them. Maybe they have sales for fundraisers. It is the only thing that would make sense to me unless they bring their work home and use the space to test different new designs for their stores.

i wouldn't want to live in a house that big. imagine if you lost your car keys!

I would just put an buzzer on my keys if I was concerned about losing keys.

I would only want a home that big if my home business needed that much extra space.

I do wish I had more garage space, like an extra 6 car garage would be great for business storage, and a gift wrapping room because it would be easier to keep that stuff organized if it had its own room.
