Well, I think it's time that we all converted to the late and Great, Athiesm. There is no God. Sorry to be the one to stick it to you all!

Looking forward to the input.

Agnostic here.

I don't think most gays are Christians, though...

Not sure why any Gay would want to be Christian. I was for 30 years, and after breaking the chains from the stranglehold it had over me up until just a few months ago ... goodbye. Zeitgeist woke me up that maybe something wasn't right, so I jotted down some notes ... did the research ... and was horrified at what I found.

I just came out to my parents who were very conservative, and sent many reference materials their direction, hoping to get them to see the truth. I think I'll have better luck with my Father than my Mother, but we'll see in due time. They have Catholicism deep in their blood. But I definitely think I shaked those beliefs with my admission to them and giving them a lot to think about.

Religion is responsible for all the hatred against us, in the first place, when it was never meant to be.

At this point, I am agnostic. Actually, an Agnostic Theist. I do believe in a Creator, just not the Creator taught to us by any of the Religions. Nobody knows what created us. But at the same time, I don't think I can ever go down the path of an Atheist. There are just too many unknowns that Science can't explain. I just don't see how any of us could be created with there not being some sort of supernatural influence involved.

I don't believe in an Afterlife or anything like that. I think this is it. This is our one life. We don't have any reason to believe in an Afterlife.

But, with that being said, I err on the side of caution and take the Agnostic approach. I'll just go on being the best person I can be.

Why the Hell is your profile all top-secret and shit?! That's so L-A-M-E! Nice post, otherwise.

Religion is responsible for the hatred against 'us"? Who is 'us'? If you are speaking about gay folk well, there is nothing in the New Testament about 'us'
Their are surely religious zealots that preach against homosexuals, just as there are those of other religions that preach against Jews and 'infidels'.....
Who should care? There are many religious folk that are fine and great people.

Why do so many people hate Gays to begin with TonyBoy? Where did the hatred start?

Answer: The Bible

Granted, the Old Testament is considerably more violent towards us as in Leviticus, but here is still what the New Testament says ...

1 Corinthians 6:9-10. " Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God."

So, yes. This is where the hatred of our kind originated from.

The Bible is full of shit, and is a Wall of Lies and Fairytales! I've never read more than 4 pages, and I won't ever ever attempt to! I would never in a Million years let my children read it either!

Unless they were on their way to Dream!

She's so F'in cute. I'll never catch an ounce of Sanity with her around!

She makes me giddy and shit!

what kind of odd translation are you using? The word "homosexual" in any form does not appear in the Bible

your experiences are your experiences but if you have been slammed because people you know have had other agendas than truth, the problem is theirs, not yours, and the problem is not our faith

and that Corinthians quote is taken way of context anyway but look at that list - where ever Paul was going, he was not doing what surface looking makes it appear

this whole thing is utterly tiresome anyway

someone posts a thread with all their bigotry - and then cannot spell the word "atheist" - and just rattles around with the same tired old rants

fuck the haters

aren't you knowledgable then

I love when haters proclaim their hate and their ignorance at the same time!

but dear boy keep talking about matters on which you know nothing - it is so cute and I bet it works really well at closing time

So...what is the future direction of this thread? Is it about gay Christians? Or again why everyone should convert to Atheism?

I would say that most of the world's population is non-Christian. 10% of the total population is presumed to be gay. So, the answer to the question would be "No, most gays are not Christian."

And Soilwork is a Wiccan?! I figured you more for a Baptist...

;)

I would like to refute that hypothosis very strongly. I am as gay as hell (but then that place does not exist)! And neither does any kind of god! But on the off chance, that when I die and by some strange fluke there is a heaven and by an even stranger coinsidence I happen to end up there and I run into this god charater I am going to kick the fuck head in the arse, for being just that a fuck head. I am a born again athiest! ](*,)](*,)](*,):-({|=:-({|=

Maybe you should read something on evolution. Or the latest advances on the brain/neurology. You will see how everything works with no supernatural help needed.

Has anyone ever observed non-living matter become living matter? Just a question. Because that is my understanding in what is causing the holdup in taking this theory any further.

I think that the statement "most gays are christians" is true only in the sense of "People implicitly assume you're christian if you live in the west and don't explicitly state otherwise"
