Mamma worked at 3 jobs trying to keep a roof on our heads. Keep in mind we weren't the easiest kids in the world to raise.

That's why every time I see her, I do this:

When the World turns on you Mamma always got your back...Ain't nobody like Mamma...

Good on you Iloveguys :) Yes indeed mothers are wonderful. I certainly loved mine. Cheers and thanks for the thread, G :)

Much respect to The Mom! No matter how bad things seem, she's the one person that can be relied on to give love, advice or just a sympathetic ear when needed.

As hard as it was for her to accept my orientation (because of it being against her religious view :( and she is quite devout), she still found a way to come to terms with me being gay, and told me she accepted it and still loved my as her son.

It's not all roses to this day, but religion be damned, she's still proud of me and she's the most important person in my life. I cherish the time I have with her.

/end.sappiness ;)

That is so sweet, OP.

While my mother probably would have loved to strangle me at birth, she was always fiercely protective of us and her grandchildren.

And for all you who still have your mom, a little hug wouldn't hurt.

My mother died in December 2002.

Not a day goes by where I do not think of her, and miss her.....(even now...) :D

My mum was the best! She's been gone ten years now and I miss her and think of her every day.

My mother is amazing! She truly does have my back, and always enjoys a trip to the Gaybourhood bars in Toronto with me.

I remember when I was going through my high school phase of my mohawk/piercings/loud music, she took my Marilyn Manson fabric posters and made them into curtains for my room.
