I was wondering if anyone here has a v3 razr cell phone. My screen has gone black and I need some one to help me try a master reset. Thanks in advance.

Hey vamp!

What's the specific problem you're having? See if this or this might help you out. Although, I guess with a black screen, navigating to the master reset option might be a bit challenging? :-/ You sure a reset would clear this?

the screen on my razr has gone completely black, as in I can't see anything. So the main thing is that I need someone to act as my "eyes" in order to try this.

THe best thing I can recommend it get motorola phone tools and attempt to connect to the phone and retrieve your phonebook, images, etc.

Then, get a new one. I've found once the razrs start acting up, it's downhill from there.

I've already connected through mobile phone tools (thanks to that interactive guide i found on the internet). I still want to try and save this one.

If the screen's cashed I don't think there's much you can do.

To disassemble it requires a very small torx bit - sub T5

Something similar to this happened to my razr, the screen went completely white. It would still operate based off my memory of which keys did what, but I had to get it replaced anyway. I play on getting it upgraded to the HTC Droid Eris on Christmas :]
