I need a new mouse for my Mac. The mouse that came with the computer died and I bought something called "The Mouse II" by MacMice. It sucks. Any suggestions? Is the Might Mouse any good? Should I go wireless?

What is your model of your MAC? The mighty mouse is a good mouse, the scroll wheel on the top is cool! Some people do not like the buttons on the side however. If your MAC new and you have bluetooth, I would consider a wireless mouse. I love it, although the batteries needed add some weight to the mouse.

Thanks for the word on the mighty mouse. I think I'll wait until I get a new computer this summer or fall before I go wireless.

i'm not a mac person, but thought i'd give your thread a little bump. i know we got LOTS of mac people here so surely someone else can recommend something. ;)

I went with a Mighty Mouse for one of my computers just to try it out. I ended up buying 4 of them to replace all my other mice for my computers. I think it's great.

I am a new mac convert and I get on very well with the mighty mouse. Other mac users I know love it too.

i am not using a mac but mouse's should be pretty much universal i would say go with a logitech mouse
MX Revolution is awesome if you want a premium mouse it has a rechargable battery aswell

The only issue I have found with the mighty mouse is that it only registers a right or a left click at a time, which can be an issue for some games. Like in WoW I am use to clicking both to walk.

My Mighty Mouse's Ball is malfunctioning, I can only scroll up or side to side, unable to scroll down. I've tried to fix it but to no avail. Saying that as I writing this I've got it working again, it must have been dirty and that I wasn't rough enough to get it going again (being soft and gentle with the ball doesn't work) I must wash my hands more frequently to stop it getting grimey.

Thanks everyone. I tried out a lot of mice at work and in some shops. I liked the Logitec mice, but today I bought a Mighty Mouse. So far, so good. It's definitely a big improvement on the last one. Again, thanks.

that might be not a mouse thing but a mac thing (since the original mac was designed to have one-button mouses)

^ It is a mouse thing the mighty mouse only has one physical button. The right click is produced by a proximity sensor in conjunction with the main click button. This is also why you will some times get a left click when you want a right, you just need to be sure you don't have fingers over the left hand sensor. Out of interest the noise of the scroll ball and side clicks is produced by an internal speaker in the mouse.

The mighty mouse is nice, I use it and love it. However the scrollbar top thing is a bitch to clean if it gets jammed. There are a couple of sites tthat talk about the best way to clean it, one involves opening it up....
