The final scene with Neil Young's Philadelphia playing was the first scene that ever made me cry. I was only 12 when I saw it and I didn't realize that I was gay but I really connected with the character. I think I have seen the movie 4 or 5 times since...Philadelphia came out the year my first (and only) boyfriend passed away from AIDS related complications. I made the mistake of seeing the movie at a theater. Thank God I had several friends with me.
