Movies That Really Do Need To Be Re-made...

I'd like to see Bonfire of the Vanities re-done with a cast more like the characters in the novel. (on second thoughts I'll just remain a little bitter at Brian De Palma for fucking it up in the first place)

I totally agree with you. The book was superb and very well written but the film version was awful. All the actors were miscast. It was adapted by a guy (Michael Cristofer) who also turned a very good book into a stupid film called "The Witches of Eastwick".

"Lost Horizon" should be remade. The 1970's version was awful, but there's a lot of potential in the story. "Dracula's Daughter" would be another good remake. The old version was made in the 1930s.

To Crashdown i have very good news for you, they actualy are making a Blue Submarine No. 6 live action remake, which im very happy about considering it was my first favorite anime movie! Just thinking they may be redoing akira to.......

I have to respectfully and strongly disagree with you. The characters in The Breakfast Club are same in every generation. That is what makes it a classic because we've all went to school with those people. If they re-made it, it would be nothing but Dawson's Creek: The Movie. Yikes!

I agree. Though I know somewhere down the line someone is going to come up with a remake for it. At the beginning of the year they were thinking about doing a pretty in pink and adventures in babysitting remake.
