Michael Steele, the former head of the Republican National Committee, has signed a deal to become an analyst for MSNBC, the network announced Monday.

Steele has recently become a regular guest on the network; most notably, he has been having regular chats with Rachel Maddow.

Does this mean they are finally getting rid of that blowhard Buchannan?

I thought he was getting a might bit cozy with Maddow lately. So I guess we will be seeing him on Morning Joe and Maddow regularly.

It is said that Olbermann, on current now, is not happy.

Good move for MSNBC, I kinda like Steele.

Obviously there's a lot we don't agree on, but he is very intelligent, which is a welcome departure for a Republican.

He is the kind of person that adds value to the discussion even if you don't agree with his position.

Wow, I really couldn't disagree more. He's a babbling buffoon.

He's actually not.

You try running an organization with so many crazies that any misplaced word puts you on at least one of their shit lists, and see how far you get before you start looking like an incompetent moron.

He's had his flubs the same as anyone else, but I think he usually makes a fairly coherent argument for the positions he has. Basically what I'm saying is he has an understanding of the issues that goes beyond talking points, which is more than many politicians and analysts on the Republican side.

The ex ring master of the GOP and its Big Tent.

Mike Steele Blew Cash through the door like there was no tomorrow.

He had awful fundraising skills, and at the end of the day, thats all the head of the party really is.

This is a letter all the previous finance chairmen sent to all of the members of the national committee...

http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2011/jan/4/group-top-gop-money-men-urge-michael-steele-defeat/

The letter noted that while other party organizations, including the Republican Governors Association and the National Republican Senatorial Committee, had posted record fundraising totals in the past election cycle, “the amount collected by the RNC from our major-donor programs has dropped to less than 25 percent of what the major-donor programs raised during the previous comparable time period.”

“In addition, the cost of Internet, direct-mail and other electronic fundraising as a percentage of revenue has increased so substantially that it significantly reduced net funds available. A huge majority of our previous donors abandoned the party to switch their support to these other organizations, having lost confidence in the current chairman’s ability to inspire and convince donors that their money will be held in sacred trust, not frivolously spent, and then spent only on our mission with well-defined and disciplined constraints — to elect Republicans to office.”

He's not as obnoxious as a lot of them are. Altho I disagree with most of what he says he doesn't make me want to throw my show at the television.

Michael Steele is a complete numb nuts

Got the Repub gig ........ Think Trump and his great relationship with "The Blacks"

He's been on the "why did they fire me" tour ever since

He will be the equivalent to Alan Colmes on Fox

Just saying

Agree. He'll give a dusting of harmless and good-natured republican talking points to give the appearance of point-counter-point. I get the impression from this guy that he doesn't really believe all the bullshit coming out of his mouth.

With all their "leftist propaganda", MSNBC has decided to go for some comic relief.
