Is it just me or has Mtv been playing America's next top model reruns for a month?! Every-time I turn on Mtv it's on. The programer for Mtv should be fired. WTF?!:grrr:
 
i know!! it's so annoying. they could at least play old-school real world seasons. or even old spring breaks. those used to be so good
 
With the writer's strike in full effect, I'm sure they're feeling the pain. If only there was something else they could broadcast. Like, oh, maybe if musical artists made little movies to go along with their songs, they could show those.

Nah, it'd never work.

it def has nothing to do with the writer's strike...they've been playing these Top Model re-runs for months....it really is getting excruciating. I def watched them when Vh1 did it...but now that it's on MTV it's like there are only 7 seasons think....you can't do it for 5 months in a row every f'ing weekend...it's ridiculous! and yeah they did it with Beauty and the Geek and So you Think you Can Dance a few weeks ago as well...but it's soooo grating on my nerves after awhile and this is coming from someone you used to really enjoy the VH1 Top Model Marathons!
 
a couple weeks ago i think they had marathons of different seasons on both MTV and VH! at the same time. i just don't get why this show is so popular.:confused:
i mean maybe if it was "America's Next Top MALE Model"...i could get with that shit.
Especially if they had Jeff Pickel all up in it!!!!
 
I mean, I enjoy the show...sometimes. but it's on all the fucking time, it's so annoying. And yeah I'd appreciate Americas Next Top Male Model especially if Pickel was on it lol.
 
They just keep playing EVERY SEASON over and over and over again. It's as if Tyra Banks has someone become the head of MTV
 
MTV does Top Model, Beauty and the Geek and So you Think You Can Dance and I saw a Gossip Girl one a few weeks ago...so they must have something with the CW and they must have bought the rights to So You Think You Can Dance or something
 
Well most MTv shows flop if you really look at it. Or it seems they come with stupid ideas. Like all them lame reality game shows. The only one i enjoyed watching was Boiling Points. Date my mom, Next, My Own, Exposed...they were all kinda lame.

They have had some hits. Total Request is still bringing in some numbers. Pimp My Ride was a hit for a while. Punk'd was def a hit. The Real World/Road Rules/and the challenges all bring in numbers. Laguna Beach skyrocketed and now The Hills is one of their most popular shows.

That one that was like Laguna Beach but set in Hawaii flopped. Tila is a stupid show. That one that was about them girls that moved to Vegas that came out of the blue was kinda lame.

I did like the one that was about them rich girls. I think one was Tommy Hilfiger's daughter? And I do LOVE True Life. That show has some pretty interesting issues. I do love Made as well. And I did like that short series this past summer about the fat camp.

I wish they would film "America's next MALE on TOP". I'd gladly watch those reruns.
 
I'm kinda happy they've been playing it because i love that show but i can see how people can get upset that they don't show something different.
 
I love ANTM, but I agree, they play it pretty frequently on MTV. You can count on a marathon every Saturday.

And what really sucks is that they play the same cycles over and over again -- particularly the worst cycle ever, cycle 7. It's fun to revisit old seasons, but I'd rather watch The Real World than reruns of ANTM. But I'd rather watch ANTM reruns than Parental Control. Stupidest show on Earth.

Loved Daria. I forgot about those chicks who moved to Vegas! When was that show pulled? I wish Mtv would just play videos. I love the Vh1 classics channel. They play all those old videos we all love. I wish my cable provider offered that channel with basic cable. I would have it on all the time.
