Who else is watching this? I think its amazing so far...very well done.. I know I'm going to cry at the end. I'm hoping they release it on DVD, I want to watch it without all the comercials

Wow.... I loved it... Incredible movie.. I hope people heed its message and live life responsibly. And, as predicted, I cried like a baby at the end

I missed it. But I do wanna see. It's still kinda odd that MTV waited like 100 years to make it.

They had a foundation for Pedro, it was established to raise funds for his medical expenses. But he died during it funding. So the foundation became a memorial foundation and was supposed to be in existence for awhile. I don't know what happened to it as I cannot find any organizational information such as an office address.

Judd's website and the list of organizations in the back of the book lists:

The National Pedro Zamora Project
915 Cole Street
Suite 289
San Francisco, CA 94117
http://www.pedrozamoraproject.com

The NPZP is a %100 non-profit grant giving organization founded and run by Sean Sasser, Mily Zamora, Pam Ling and Judd Winick

However the book was published in 2000 and the website doesn't seem to have been updated for several years, and sadly the link appears dead. I dunno if there's anything still based at that address.

I'm assuming it didn't explore a lot of issues mentioned in the POZ interview with Pedro. You had some background information about Pedro and why this Honor Roll student got the disease.

That is what I never understood about Pedro: he was this bright, smart, honor roll student - yet he didn't have the intelligence to read up on AIDS, STD's and protection?

Actually, it does. Probably not in as much detail as the Poz article (which I haven't read) but it tells all about his mother's death and the blood drive at school and getting the results on Mily's birthday and contracting shingles and his decision to tell the rest of his class. Although it does focus on the ten months between the beginning of the RW shoot and his death - I'm guessing Judd only had a limited number of pages and wanted to focus on what he knew first-hand - there's more than enough detail in there to build up a good picture of Pedro's life prior to the show.
