dunno why i didn't recognize how fucking hot Dave from that season was. flipped over him when he appeared on "Privileged"...goddamned CW!!!

agreed with everyone rooting for a win for Brad...he really is one of few who actually "deserve" the money. on the other hand, i wouldn't mind seeing him get back to his "bad boy" ways....hot as he is, that damned Tori had dulled the hell outta his personality.

still waiting on MTV to get Abe from RR: Latin America on one of these challenges. damn, did i have it bad for that guy!!! actually i wouldn't mind seeing Gladys from his season again either.

YES! Brad and Katie. I always love when I see them in a roster. And Katie is on the same team as Veronica... this is gonna be good

Too bad they brought back the fucking troll (Wes). I do agree with the sentiment that it's about time for the lovely and charming Brad to FINALLY take home a win. Poor dude has been in every challenge come so close so many times and always been such a graceful loser.

UGH I can't stand Wes. He's a vile asshole who just oozes arrogance and narcissism. Everything he says manages to seem entirely insincere and he's violent and belittles women (more than any of the mysoginists on the show so you KNOW that its damn extreme wiht him). well yeah, if we were going by personalities alone, but the majority of the guys on these shows are absolute douches. it's just that some of them are SO nice to look at sometimes...

He was rather hot. I'm still surprised Gladys let Abe get to her like that and she attacked him. I disliked him for that whole incident (calling her a bitch repeatedly)...but I remember on his bio, that he was raised by a lesbian mother, so he's GLBt-friendly in a way.

I'm sorta disappointed that TJ is back again. Not that any of the hosts have been anything special.

Who I'd really like to see host is good old Awesome Ann from the Las Vegas season. Remember her? She was the overly earnest corporate-motivational-teamwork-whatever person. The whole crew went over to her house to do middle school trust exercises because they all hated each other. That was one of the most ridiculous, and funniest, episodes ever.

Which is exactically why I won't be watching. Is life after the Real World THAT bad, my god your life must suck monkeyballs if your only source of ambition is to eat pig guts and hang upside down off the edge of a skyscaper year after year to no reward.

It always perplexed me why people have this attitude. I think the challenges seem like fun even if you dont win. A lot of the castmembers are really good friends. So even if they dont win they get to see their friends and have fun with them on a tropical resort every year. And TBH competing in the challenges and bungee jumping seems fun.

The challenge itself is like going to camp and playing games. They get to blow off steam and do things that most of people can't do anymore because they get older and get tied down by boring jobs. It's more sad to me when people are working at a bank for 25 years and their lives are unfullfilling.

Oh lord Gladys. She was such a ragamuffin. I miss Yes of all the challenge guys. And Belou, with her ghetto ass bringing her baby to challenge. Plus Chadwick and Holly. They were so insane and pissed everyone off.

I feel the same about Wes. I used think he was such an ugly douche but something about him became attractive later in the challenges. Except for when he yelled at Casey. I think it's attractive that he's such a competitor who really kick's ass in challenges. And unlike most of the guys he's not scared to call out the big dogs like CT and compete against big "EZ" Eric. It pisses me off how the guyys are so scared to go against him because of his weight.

THANK YOU! I said something like this back in the Duel 2 thread. I don't understand why people are always saying "they need to get a Job and a life" Well how do you know that they don't already have those things and just do the challenges for fun? Why does everyone have to have some big important purpose and have some big soul crushing job? Well, obviously, no one does; but the issue here is that the players take themselves so seriously. They are forever talking about parlaying their experience into acting careers and other highly unlikely endeavors.

Just because they take advantage of that opprotunity doesn't make them Childish losers.

Many of the players reveal this themselves, both on the show and online. Anyway, if they displayed the sort of happy-go-lucky attitude you're describing, I think they would be much more tolerable.

Besides, the most important thing to keep in mind is that bashing the contestants is half the fun of these shows. I mean, these shows are a form of escapism, really, where people can blow off steam and relax. Perhaps you should extend your charitable interpretation of the contestants to the viewers, too -- we're not judgmental, hypocritical brutes just because we engage in a television fantasy.

forgot to say earlier that i'm also checking for San Diego's Randy to pop up on another challenge. definitely some underrated hotness right there, and he always seemed like a pretty chill guy. doesn't hurt that he fills out a speedo quite nicely

lol...considering the way some of them act, being verbally attacked is almost tame. some of those boys and girls are just BEGGING to get bitchslapped!!!
actually though, i'd bet TJ's an even bigger douche outside of the challenges...as are most of the competitor's. i just think he's hot
