MTV's The Duel 2

Yeah, I was really looking forward to this season, but I'm done already.

I'm sure MJ will get away with being an ass, as well most of the other guys, thats just the way these shows seem to be.

Ryan didn't deserve to go, and MJ is a bitch for picking him.

So yeah, maybe I'm just bitter and selfish or not watching anymore, but meh. lol

I wish they'd change it up a little and have mental versus physical challenges in the Duel. Instead of everyone choosing someone they thought was weaker, they'd be choosing the people they thought were dumber than themselves. I think that would be hilarious.

^^ At least that way the smaller challengers would have a better chance, and the behemoths would have something more than size to consider.

What do you mean? Ryan lost the Duel. That's it. You win, you get to stay. You lose, you have to go. That's the extent of the meritocracy on this stupid show. Ryan lost the Duel so he deserved to go. Period.

I don't really like MJ -- or most of these people really -- but how is he a "bitch" for picking Ryan? I mean...that's the game. You pick who you can beat, and sadly most of these challenges do favor the person who has more weight and more muscle mass. We can't on one hand say that gays can do anything straight guys can do and that someone's sexuality doesn't make them a superior or inferior athlete (which is of course true, being gay has nothing to do with one's physical capabilities) and then say the next moment that Ryan should be given a free pass and not have to defend himself in the Duel. That's double-talk. We always complain about these idiots on the show assuming that a gay guy is gonna be weak, but then we get mad when a gay guy is asked to prove that assumption wrong in the Duel?

Ryan is a big boy and he signed up for this. He knew what he was getting into. It's not a bitch move to pick someone smaller who you think you can beat. It's a smart move.

My main issue with MJ choosing Ryan is he talks so much crap about being such a dominant competitor and then he picks the smallest guy on the challenge. Then on top of that he talks about beating Ryan as if he beat Mike Tyson. He says it showed everyone not to mess with him. It was hardly a fair fight. If he was humble and said I'm just gonna be strategic there'd be no complaints from me.

I dont think Ryan should get any free pass for being gay. But I did like seeing him and Davis make out. ANd that is what i will miss.

it's not his strategy i have a problem. of course most people are going to make moves they think will keep them in the game. my problem is that he acted like beating someone 1/2 his size in a physical battle was SUCH an accomplishment. so maybe labeling him a bitch was a bit much. wishing death upon him would've been the kinder, more rational way to go;)

if anything that past challenges have shown is that no matter how strong you are you can be taken down in an elimination game. So MJ picking Ryan could have completley blown up in his face.

hell ryan sent home derek on the gaunlet 3 and dereks a strong dude. Did anyone expect Beth to send Ruthie home on the gaunlet 2? Look how many people little meek Sarah took out in the first gaunlet. And 2 of them were guys

I'd argue, but it's not gonna change anything and I just don't feel like it'd be worth it, lol.

I had shivers down my spine when Ryan kissed Davis twice... awwwwww... so cute! !oops!;)

^ That was a nice moment. It was the first time I was actually sad to see someone go. Also you can hear all the girls in the cast saying "Aww..." when they kissed.

Looks like Mark from Road Rules 1 is going to win yet another challenge... And it's all because he's got a lotta connections. And ugh, Robin's gone.... THANK GOD. Even her friends are starting to not like her, I think.

Oh, and why is Brad aligning himself with Mark when Mark & Company screwed him over in Battle of the Sexes 2?

Just sayin....

I think the best elimination was in the Fresh Meat season. It was that race with puzzles, which could give a distinct advantage. It integrated speed, endurance, strength, and intelligence into one package rather than the luck of the draw tactic which will ensure YET AGAIN that Eric lingers around to do nothing for far to long simply because he's too big for other people to push.

Honestly, I don't like Kim but I think she had it right when she said that these people need to stop this nonsense and just not be afraid to duel. If you get picked you get picked. Do it and win.

Not only Ryan's size but Ryan also competed within the last 24 hours against Nick and drained out all his energy. Ryan did sort of do the same thing to Nick but I just hate MJ.

This season's format is so stupid. I hate the whole dividing into 2 teams and then 2 more teams and then the last people compete. All the strong people are going to team up making it impossible for a weak player to shine when they'd do good on a challenge since all the other weak people won't do good. I hate the same stupid veterans and always find myself rooting for the underdog rookies. I want the Brooke, Davis, Kim, Neomyah alliance to go far along with Issac, Derek, Landon. Brittney's also a rookie but not interesting enough to keep around. It's weird that she's a rookie and got in with the veterans so quick. Maybe she just bonded with Landon and he brought her in.

They spoiled 3/4 duels. You knew Aneesa and Kim were going to win because you saw them doing other things in the preview they showed. You knew MJ was going to beat Ryan because they showed one of the girls saying "There was a moment where it looked like Ryan was going to knock MJ off". You know she was interviewed after that Duel so you knew Ryan was going to lose.

Ugh I cant stand Kim either. I have a feeling she'll be like Svetlana, who I do like, and be the new girl who everyone keeps throwing in thinking she'll lose.

And best of all, you know somewhere that asshole Tyler is dying with envy and heartbreak. Ah, that's the stuff!

That's just what Tyler gets. He's a rotten homosexual. He's one of those annoying little fem guys who only likes "straight-acting" guys even though he's the biggest queen. I remember him calling Ryan not his type at first because he's super gay. What a little bitch.

I love how you just decidedto spell Nehemiah's name phonetically. Davis, Nehemiah and Isaac should for some kind of outsider alliance. Instead of Isaac having to hope the veterans find it in their hearts to keep him each time.

I didn't "decide" to do it, I knew it was spelt wrong, I just forgot how to spell it. Other than him, I've never heard that name before. On top of that, I've rarely ever read his name in my life.

I wasnt trying to be mean. I honestly thought it was funny. At first I didnt realize who you were talking about. I dont blame you. It is a very different name. It was funny how it looked

^^ ITA. Also, they make such a fuss about who gets picked for "safety" and in what order when it's not fucking safety at all! Whoever winds up in the duel could pick ANY OF THEM except the two winners! This isn't like winning HOH on Big Brother!

Morons.

Yes this is what I didn't get either. What's the big deal about the order? It's not going to make ANY of them safer. The ONLY ones who can't go into the Duel are the people that WON the challenge. Everyone else is fair game.

Kim was right....They need to stop being so damn scared of the Duel. I mean half of the cast will be on the next challenge anyway so is it really a big deal if they go in and lose?

I liked Ryan more than Davis.
There's something about MJ that triggers my gag reflex. I'm not just saying that because he has the initials of a child molester.... allegedly.

Yeah ive been checking this season out. And i must say, Ryan is pathetic. He makes the gay community look like weak push overs who flocks among women as a security blank to make it by. It was embarrassing to see just how easy MJ eliminated his bitch ass in the Push Over challenge. Davis is yet another weak player who will be sent home in yet another embarrassing way, Ughh and hes a racist, and not even a funny one, like i am....Meh anyway, i like this season so far. CT, Bard, Derrick, Dunbar, and another some of the others aren't bad looking at all. And im also like the Female line up a lot. I really cant go into great deatail now about who's what, but this time around i feel as if Paula is taking her game much more serious, and rightfully so, poor girl.
