MTV's The Gauntlet III - Official Thread

Eh I am so damn sick of the veteran guys . Like really. STFU. They had ZERO right to get mad at Danny. None. How can you be throwing challenges to get ourself a larger cut of the money and then talk about someone turning their back on the "team." There was nothing more dishonest in that than anything else and those fuckers are just pissed they were too dumb to think of it themselves.

And for all their blabbing about "fat trimming" Eric is clearly the largest Albatross around that teams neck and they never mention it because it would put them in danger.

Here are my thoughts on the Coral situation:
While I think it is shitty that the Vet guys were throwing missions to get rid of some of the girls, it was essentially a smart idea. They just targeted the wrong player. Both Bet and Katie suck at these competitions, so it was right for them to try to eliminate them, but Coral? Not so much. Out of all the girls in this competition, Coral is the best mentally and fourth physically to Ev, Tori, and Jillian. In short, she was the second best female on the Veteran squad. The Vet guys should have tried to target Robin, Diem, or Casey. Why? None of them have really stood out in the missions. I mean, Robin did in the first one where she was the the last Vet girl, but that was all. The reason why these girls weren't chosen was because all of them, in some sort, have screwed or at the time was screwing a Vet guy. Hence, why they were never put into the Gauntlet, unless they volunteered like Casey. By Coral leaving, it doesn't harm her legacy at all because she remains one of the few players of all these challenged to neither be voted nor eliminated from a challenge. Also, she has made it to the final challenge of all of her competitions except for two, this one included. Also, she was smart because she threw the Vet team a bone and made them not only lose a strong female in her, but a player the Vet team liked in Casey. Smart decision on her behalf. Another thing, I don't think Evan was necessarily trying to get Coral off the show, but was more focused on Katie and Robin. Never did he mention that he wanted Coral off. Plus, I am pretty sure they had a thing for a while.

I agree with everything except the Evan part. He wasn't saying Coral should go in. But he knew that's what they wanted and he did nothing to protect his so-called friend. I think the guys wanted the girls to leave and didn't care which, except they definitely wanted Beth out. I think Ev kept pushing Coral more than anyone

Yeah the previews kinda ruined it. You can see Adam and CT, so you have to assume that Danny goes home which sucks.

I am pretty sure that the Rooks win the final competition. Because in the beginning of the season, they showed in a preview that Eric was lying on the ground and having problems. It hasn't happened yet, and the annoucer said someone doesn't finish....so I think that it is him.

If Coral HAD to finish because of the spiderbite than Evan should HAVE to finish. They should have to carry his ass like they had to carry her.

I think at heart, Evan is a good guy and really didn't want Coral to go in, but felt he had no choice and had to go with the flow of things. It just shows he has no balls. Luckily, in the interviews with the two after the show, they seem to have made up.

I think the Vets guys dream team would consist of all the guys pluse Ev. Now, while that is a great physical team, where is the brains besides Adam??? Coral, as she has proven in this challenge and many others, is one of the best at the mental competitions and has performed pretty strong in physical competitions. All I have to say is that when they have the reunion show, I am pretty sure that Coral will have the biggest laugh. :)

I bet you some of the Vet guys would rather have Eric die in front of them and then carry his fat ass to the finish line for the money.

:rotflmao: :rotflmao:

Both those statements made me laugh. Really, really hard. ..|

Anywho -

"I will work you. I will WORK you. I WILL work You. I WILL WORK YOU!!! I. WILL. WORK. YOU!!!!"

Oh

my

god

Me and my fag hag were talking about CT (again.) I told her, as she hasn't seen this most recent episode, you will hate CT even more so after watching it. I really didn't think this was humanly possible - but I physically hate him with every fiber of my being. He is a mean, nasty, ugly, annoying piece of shit with an ugly soul. I would accelerate if I saw him crossing the street just to rid the world of a chode like him.

*whew*

OK I'm done with my annual CT rant ;)

I'm trying to think back to the preview of the finale, and I'm pretty sure they are all tethered together again. So, sorry for ya vets - with Eric collapsing or having a heat stroke or heart attack or whatever happens - it looks like the Rookies will pull this one out!!! :=D:

EXACTLY!! Leave Danny and his massive, hot, sexy chest alone please.

Tell me about it the boy is FINE on TV and in person (I saw him at collegefest... didn't give a damn to approach him but noticed him and Melinda signing autographs or something). It's a shame half his season his face was half bandages.

Yea they both came to my college too. They are both very attractive in person. TV doesn't do them justice. Except Danny was wearing way more bronzer than Melinda. He also has that same awful personality. that shit is not editing. He is very possessive of Melinda and got angry when guys payed too much attention to her.

i can totally see that with danny.

so i remember finding danny very attractive when i first saw him during his season's casting show. as in, i think i had to jack one out when i saw his audition tape. plus, the whole boston accent gives me a boner.

but after his season and after seeing him in these challenges, i've found him to be pretty repulsive - mainly personality-wise but also body wise, to some degree. did you guys see him in that last rw/rr challenge (i think it was the inferno)? he was all scruffy, gross, looked like he had an outbreak of herpes - he was a hot mess, to say the least.

he looks better on this challenge, but still a little too beefy for my tastes. definitely not as super chiseled as he was in his rw austin audition tape.

but - even then - what turns me off the most is his jealous, possessive, insecure personality that's led him to lie about his bullshit, betray his fiance (remember, he barely put up a fight to save melinda's ass when the vets voted her into the gauntlet), insulting johanna by saying he doesn't "speak mexican" or whatever (it's worth mentioning that johanna, apparently, is going to be melinda's maid of honor), and just acting, overall, like a bitchass punk.

no offense to the guys here who still find him attractive, but i think danny needs some growing up to do. i think he's just too easily offended, crazily possessive, oddly offensive to his own fiance (what was up with him attacking melinda a few episodes ago?), and unable to own up to his own actions.

i mean, with that last challenge, why did he even bother sticking it out? he knew the team wanted to throw that mission!

so clearly, by him sticking it out in that freezing cold water, he was sending a message to the vets (who had ALL already forfeited - INCLUDING ALL the women, whose asses were on the line) that he was in it for himself.

and yeah - frank totally was sheisty by calling him out and instigating shit.

and i personally find that gross.

however, from a strategic standpoint, frank's playing the game very well and very intelligently. when the rest of his team wanted to give danny that free pass and save him from the gauntlet, frank was the only one to put his foot down.

why?

because he already knew the guys wanted to throw that challenge! so, he could totally use danny's words against him -

and it obviously worked.

and notice when frank provoked CT, CT didn't do a damn thing. CT kept on talking about pouring beer on him - but who does CT end up pouring beer on? poor adam (i really do feel bad for the guy... all that abuse from CT).

but it's clear from that altercation that CT didn't want to engage frank - i get the sense that CT was a little intimidated by frank (after all, he did watch frank twist kenny's ankle and outperform huge MJ in the gauntlet).

i get that there's still alot of frank-hate or alot of people who don't get frank's appeal and still find him boring and annoying and idiotic and square.

but you gotta give the boy some props for playing this game damn well, thus far.

CT's a classic example of schoolyard bully. he always targets those he sees as "weak", because he knows they're not likely to retaliate. Frank for the most part bugs the HELL outta me(hot as he is) but it was cool seeing him stand up to CT.

The M.V.P of this whole challenge has to be Frank. While, I have always and forever will be annoyed by him, he knows how to play this game perfectly. He has the great combination of being tall, semi-muscular, and smart. The only two people I feel that play this game better than him has to be Coral and Adam.

Danny and Melinda are probably the most hated couple in all of the Real World/Road Rules seasons. He has ego problems, while I still have not gotten over her "colored" remarks. Supposedly, they have let fame really take over their minds and forgotten who they truly are. I am from Austin, but I hated our cast. It was absolutely one of the worst seasons ever and I am sooooo happy it is over.

If the Vets lose on Wednesday, which I know they will, they did it to themselves. They sacrificed QUALITY for QUANTITY. If they would have stopped throwing their missions, yes they would have to split the money up more, BUT they would have been most likely guaranteed to win the final prize.

Another thing. When Adam was talking about no one wanting CT to leave because he is such a good player, he was exactly right. He is allowed to act like an arrogant jackass because lets face it, he is usually one of the best players in the game. On the other hand, if my memory serves me right, he has yet to win a challenge. Now, I will give him some leeway because back in the early days when it was Real World vs. Road Rules, it was almost unfair to pit these two together, but nonetheless, CT has yet to win a challenge. Why? Team chemistry and smarts. While CT has the athletic ability to COMPETE, he lacks the mental capacity to WIN these challenges.

In conclusion, it was an okayy challenge, although I would like to see the past challenge competitors come back. I am talking about the days of Mike, Tina, Tara, Dan, Alton, Julie, and others. Hell! I wouldn't mind see Trishelle getting back in the game. Don't get me wrong, while I like the "Fresh Meat" cast with Kenny, Evan, and others, I just prefer the old-school performers.

...for an entertaining finale tonight! :=D:

O.M.G. I can't believe they left him. I can't believe they didn't send him packing before the final gauntlet, I can't believe they got all the way there and... won, only to lose because they left him behind.

All that aside, yay for frank and that chick that he hooked up with, and for brad (with his big ole dick and all) and that girl he was with.

AND! OMG!!! The new realworld is in HOLLYWOOD! And they have some cuties... What was the one with the...Dark Secrect? I forgot his name already! lol

I wish he was secretly gay because he was hot.:p However he looks like he is going to be an ass based on the previews. On the upside this season looks watchable compared to the last few real worlds they have done.

OK. Like you'd all probably expect, I start a post off with how much I hate CT. :)

Fuck him for being a hypocritical bastard. He sits there after getting on shore, yelling at Evan, saying "You should support Eric! Yelling at him won't do any good! Give him encouraging words!"

Then, not less than 6 minutes later, CT is yelling at Eric for slowing the team down, saying that (if I recall something similar to) "Fuck this, fuck you, if you don't fucking get up I will kill you!"

That, and on top of him saying "Robin's crying cause she's a girl" ](*,)

I hope to never see him on another RW/RR challenge again.

And also -

Evelyn? Wow. Way to be classy about the Eric situation yourself. You even said the Vets brought this upon themselves by not sending Eric into the Gauntlet. Sorry for ya!

So glad the Rookies won! (!)

PS - Did they really stop digging in the sand after seeing the Vets do it first? Hello, Eric is not with them! KEEP DIGGING!!! :D

YAY! Go Rookies!

Brad seems like a really good guy. He actually gave a shit about Eric.

But yeah, I'm glad the Rookies won.

Kenny, I'll give you a blowjob to cheer you up... :D

Hahaha! I am proud that Evan had the heart to jump start his team so they could at least finish the race with SOME dignity. Besides the Rookies, I know Coral, Katie, and Johnny Bananas are laughing their asses off right now. ;)

So I can't even get off this high of watching Karma rear it's malevolent head out for this final challenge.

Ev really summed it up. The dudes were wimps, none of them wanted to go against Eric just because of size, frankly that whole "smallest is weaker" aspect annoys me beyond belief! Jillian is still there, Ryan made it pretty far, AND ADAM KICKED DANNY'S ASS!! Seriously watching that makes you think, hmm maybe if they sent in CT and he inevitably put in Adam.. Adam could have sent their strongest home and they still would have had Eric... but whatever.

At the moment I thought the rookies lost I was like... well in all honesty they were a pretty sad team, not good at all, AND none of them are really my favs except Johanna. But luckily, and I was hoping so when TJ said it in the beginning "no man left behind" sooo it was really sweet to see them pull it out. (although they really sucked at digging which was REALLY frustrating)

can't wait till the reunion
