Hey Guys-- I'm leaving on a cross-country trip tomorrow and am in dire need of some new music. I've been introduced to most of my favorite groups by friends, so I'm looking for some suggestions. I'm hoping to buy an album or two (or more...) tonight, so if there's anything good you've heard lately, please let me know!

The only thing I really dislike is rap/hip-hop, but I doubt that'll be too much of a problem here. If it helps, I'm a college student and lately have been into Snow Patrol, Matt Nathanson, Guster, Mika, and Angels and Airwaves. Thanks!!!
 
Go get Garbage's hits collection Absolute Garbage, totally digging them right now!

omg u like alot of the music i do lmfao. I guess thats the whole college student thing.

Check out O.A.R., Dispatch, State Radio, Zox, String Cheese Incident. I could name more but thats a decent list.

Pick up Matt's new CD tomorrow!!!!!!! Im actually going to his concert on Thursday. and seeing Guster or that Saturday.

great suggestion...Love Brendan...been listening to him for a few years now and had the chance to hang out with him and his tourmates on his last tour w/ Jason Reeves and Mikal Blue....great guy..really nice and makes amazing music!

I"m really digging Lights right now....she's fantastic....her songs are featured in the new series of Old Navy commercials www.myspace.com/lightsnoise

I'm LOVING Brendan... and am getting very excited for his new album to drop next week. And NoIAmNotYourFriend, I love Taking the Long Way... no need to convince anyone on that. It's a phenomenal album whether or not you like country music.
