musicians you've fallen in love with?

Brandon Flowers - The Killers
Ben Gibbard - Death Cab for Cutie
Chris Carrabba - Dashboard Confessional
Conor Oberst - Bright Eyes
Jim Adkins - Jimmy Eat World
Kele Okereke - Bloc Party

Josh Homme of Queens in the Stone age. Oh god he is HOT.

David Bowie especially in the 80s he was soooo hot and dreamy. his low and emotive voice is so hot.

Iggy pop. His antics combined with his always bare chest made him seem like he'd be amazing in bed.

Autechre, simply and purely the best/most creative/most innovative and awe inspiring shit I've ever heard.

(Note: Chronologically ordered, their first release being in 1993! Are still making awesome and relevant music. Note stylistic changes from the different tracks... )

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nfwD05XA2YQ (amazing video, incredibly strange song)

Each one of these songs is awesome in a different way. And there's a lot more. These guys are total artists, a very good average quality rating to everything they've released.

Jenny Lewis. she is female and she is hot. i describe her as the salt from my earth. i would let her strap it on and ride me to town. hahahaha.

Conor Oberst. yep. love him. i want to hug him and lick his wounds.
Ben Gibbard. him too. Death Cab and the Postal Service.
Ryan Adams. one ugly motherfucker but damn can that man write some good tunes.
Sufjan Stevens. he is the physically hot one of the bunch.
Devendra Banhart. i wanna get naked and play in the rain with him.
Jonathan Rice. needs to be spanked. haha.
Lenny Kravitz will always be up there. he is pure sex.

oh, i forgot about Jack White. i'd let him hit it. And Billy Corgan, old skool style.

I love a lot of different ones for different reasons.

3 Doors Down - Their music is so relatable and has a lot of themes about stuff that is quite familiar to me.

Goo Goo Dolls - I love their incredible depth. The meaning their stuff has is really something. Johnny writes such amazing songs.

Foo Fighters - There's something about them that I can't really explain but that I love. There's a classical quality to their stuff that really gets me.

Killswitch Engage - I'm not really into metal usually, but the way these guys infuse melodies with hard rock is really cool to me. Their energy is incredible.

Vertical Horizon - That classic meaningful 90s radio rock that I will never miss. They were the best.

Third Eye Blind - I really wish more people had discovered how great this band is. Their last album is one of my favorites of all time but didn't do that well commercially. They are very unique in their style and they are so so good at it.

The Juliana Theory - These guys were the inventors of emo. But when people used emo to describe them, they didn't mean what that term means today. They meant what emo used to mean, music with emotion, not screaming with terrible sounding squeakiness. Sadly, they never got the big break they needed.

Feeder - British rock at it's best. I love the varying styles they showed on their different albums. There's a milky smoothness to their rock that draws you in to it. They never caught on as much in the US, but they deserved more recognition.

David Archuleta - Not too many people can make me cry with music, but that boy does it. He has the most beautiful voice I have ever heard. And before anyone laughs, you really have to see him live before you can decide to hate him. The TV screen was a woefully inadequate showcase of his talent.

BOWIE...im young and i just discovered him...six weeks ive listened to the same fucking songs and they dont get old...

I don't listen to music because of the sex appeal of artists, if I don't like the music first and foremost, I don't bother.

The Foo Fighters, Perfect Circle, The Beatles, Alicia Keys, Disturbed, Classified, a local artist - Corey Heuvel, and I'm sure there are a few others that are slipping my mind.

With most of them, it's the messages that they present with alot of their music, and the way that they present it vocally and with instrumental support, with Corey, it's the raw talent that he has.

3 Doors Down, Nickelback, Audioslave, Aaliyah, Monica, Adele, Anita Baker, Maroon 5, The Fray, Alicia Keys, India Arie.

I'm with Glafna--I don't listen to music because the performer is attractive. If they are, then I guess it's a bonus.

don't get me wrong, i don't listen to artists based on sex appeal either. i listen to what i like and if any of those particular musicians seem to be hot, i begin to have a school-girl crush on them because it's just so sexy that a hottie can make amazing music, but i do have some exceptions.
i had a crush on badly drawn boy for a while, way before i even knew what he looked like. when i saw how he did look like and that he wasn't that great looking, my crush still remained because i just loved his music that much

Good to hear, but the problem is that so many people do only like music b/c the artist is hot, they fool themselves into liking it as well, which is just plain sad.

lol, just made me remember another... Stephen Colbert. He's really funny when he does his own stuff, and sometimes his guests have him perform with them, he ain't that bad.

I love Amy Lee's work, sucj as Evanescence and all her own music. She's extremely talented and puts it to good use.

Andrew Bird - I swear that guy hates touring the South, but he needs to come to Austin more often...

Also agreed on Sufjan, and then I've gotta add (and I start to get vague with names cause I'm too lazy to research)...

Keith Murray from We Are Scientists (the middle one):

I really don't notice this stuff until I see them live. It starts off knowing they play good music, and then knowing they're easy on the eyes makes it all the more better ..|
