Continuing a tradition of wanting to murder people over cartoons, radical Islamists are once again up in arms because someone dared to depict their beloved Muhammad — this time the ever-irreverent "South Park" team.

publish all those radicals home addresses and contacts (their idea) and let the public do the work.

I think they are bullies. Bullies only fear bigger bullies.

if americans dont put down the hamburgers and take back this country..they will be in for a rude awakening when they get sent to prison for mentioning bomb and president over the phone or killed for publishing a story criticizing Islam..

No Im not but just wanted to let U know that Im Vietnamese and I came here to live FREEDOM. Its my second country and I love this country almost that I love Viet Nam. I came here cuz I can't live with Communist. America is a great place to live: freedom and open arms and heart. I came here kinda late, with nothing But look now I have everything that I wanted in my life: nice place to live,nice car, great American friends. I always think of myself. I own this country more than What I have done for them in return. I never had trouble with the law,pay taxes, obey the law, great citizen. I work so hard to make my American Dream reality. That's just so dumb, even though I had some sympathy with those that found the Danish cartoons insulting (I should add, only some), the South Path episode wasn't insulting at all, they weren't saying Muhammad was a terrorist or anything like that, as far as I can tell, and like the news guy said, other religions deities were also featured.

Seriously, those extremists need to get a life, I believe that religion, or any philosophy really (including Atheism), should be made fun of, not in a cruel way, but, not take it too seriously.

If that's what happened, it's very clever: it's funny, it mocks the tradition of never showing Mohammad without mocking Mohammad himself...and it actually follows the tradition WHILE mocking it!

Those of you sitting here saying you hate Muslims or that Islam is just evil: would I be justified in saying the same thing about Christianity because of the actions of Eric Rudolph? He's the wacko fringe of Christianity, just as the jihadist losers who threatened the South Park team are the wacko fringe of Islam.

Please note the difference between hating an ideology and hating persons. Moreover, in a show which pokes fun of practically everyone, it makes little sense to bar criticism for one group simply because they have less tolerance for ridicule.

Well, by Godwin's Law this conversation is essentially over; but note the contrast: the vast majority of Nazis were involved in war, cruelty, and genocide (please note that even in Germany most people weren't Nazis). The vast majority of the world's 1.5 billion Moslems live in peace. Obviously the Islamic "ideology" (and the ideology of the average Moslem is quite different from that of, say, Osama bin Laden) isn't a good predictor of evil behavior!

I actually know some Moslems (I'm guessing, but only guessing, that you don't); do you know who THEY think are blasphemers against Islam? Al Qaeda and their ilk. Why? Because they do violence in the name of Islam.

The Muslims need either a Ghandi or a Martin Luther right now -- though a combination would be best: a theologian who knows his Muslim scriptures and commentators and can inspire millions to abhor violence.

Maybe he could start my nailing some theses to the door of Mecca or something.
