  • Hi Guest - Did you know?
Hot Topics is a Safe for Work (SFW) forum.

My 15 seconds of fame!!! yay

Not much to a guy, but to a gal, how dare you ask her to sit her vagina down.

Haha...that's funny. I didn't know that, and I try to stay knowledgeable on Brit slang. So:
"Sit your fanny down, I'm gonna take the piss outta you," is a sentence that would confuse and confound both countries...

Well mitchy,

This thread is a pisser.

I don't want to piss you off, but,

at the risk of sounding pissy...you

were not invited to emigrate, just to visit.

So, piss off.

Habla Engla Senhor?.....lol

Thank you.

What i would really like is to have the WBC members click on it thinking they have got some support, only to find that i'm taking the mick out of their statement. (And for a good cause)

What's WBC?
Yes, I googled before asking and it said White Blood Cells.

is "taking the mick" the same as "taking the piss"?

I think "mick" is a slang/derogatory term for "irish" here, but I'm not for sure.
EDIT: I checked; it is a slang term for Irish.

we use Mick in Boston as a slang term for irish too

It comes from the Mc that alot of irish names use. They are not fond of it...HA

Got into a bar fight once using it.

Fun times

And of course, bar fights are a favourite Irish pastime.
And making jokes about alcoholism and aggression is another favourite.

^Holy crap! I'm a full-fledged accent whore. Powerless to resist. (ww) :luv:
The 12 year old schoolgirl inside me is still squealing. !oops!
Kingly awesome, Mitchy.

I now have this uncontrollable urge to hear you talk dirty now...

...and I need a cigarette.

Oh dear, you just wait til i start talking french....:D

Aak! Don't do that, I might spontaneously combust.

You don't understand how bad I am: like, I can't even tell you what your poem was about, all I heard were your beautiful British A's and O's and my eyes would roll back and I'd have tiny english orgasms.

I had to watch it 3-4 times too... the sound was on, but I was so busy just watching his lips move I had no idea what he said until I just listened without watching.

My accent has no type, there is no name for it because its an ordinary english accent, but with good diction! I live in the almost dead centre of the UK, it has such a mixed influence of north, south, east and west that it cannot really be isolated to a specific accent.

there's actually quite a distinctive accent on some of your vowel sounds...the way you pronounce night/fright, brush/crush and garden. I'm guessing Nottinghamshire, possibly Leicestershire. (I know you gave a big clue about being in the centre of the country!)

Close, but not quite that north, Warwickshire is my home county, i live on the warks/northants border

I'll be going back to Brighton in the car in 2 or 3 weeks, and will be heading down the M1. I'll have to stop over at a travel inn somewhere en route. It would be SO close to you for something like a quick visit, you know.

Chicken...

Dumb ass me,

Had no idea y'ed left the beaches of Brighton for the

Bonnie banks O' Loch Lomand. All ok at home then?

Happy motoring lad.
