  • Hi Guest - Did you know?
Hot Topics is a Safe for Work (SFW) forum.

My boss making advances?

Is he cute at least?
I do agree with most here, this is not a good recipe for a happy ending. If others at work find out it will be hell for you and the boss.

And he's rude to you in front of others?! That shows what a bad character he has. This is wrong on many levels...don't do it.

Okay...Update:

He is having me work on some stuff at home, and before I left today he gave me a flash drive (memory stick) to bring the files back on. I opened it up just now and it has (straight) porn on it.

w.t.f.

This is 100% real and I feel really awkward about this. Do I tell him about it or just delete it? Seriously, this is getting out of hand.

That is his way of trying to determine your sexuality, by your reaction. He doesn't feel comfortable asking you if you are Gay or telling you that he is Gay. He wants you to take the first step in that department, evidently.

keep everything professional. It's not a good idea to mix personal and professional life.

Although completely unethical and horrible to suggest, you could make a buck or two with a lawsuit...

How is this unethical and horrible?

We tell women they can work free from harassment, why can't men do the same?

I agree about the rudeness - if he likes you, he should show you all the respect in the world. Regardless of circumstances, there is never a good reason at work to be rude to co-workers because you can do it.

Otherwise, if you think about it, many, many people fall in love with their partners at work, and there is nothing wrong with that. Maybe it's about maturity and having a strong idea of what you really want that makes it work.

If it gets down to scratching his crotch and covert friendliness, he doesn't sound like a charmer, though.:(
