My boyfriend treats me like a 10 year old.

if its really bothering you and talking doesnt work, its time to leave. If you cant communicate and he's not going to listen- its just better that you find someone worth your time.

Then again, when someone condescends to me, its the biggest insult and my greatest pet peeve. so yeah.

tell him to go fuck himself. you're in the right and he's in the wrong. he's immature, controlling, and very selfish. it's not so bad now maybe, but it will only get worse.

oh and realistically if you're going to be homeless without him, i guess you have to stay a bit longer.

Some say "controlling," I say "possessive." They seem innocent enough at first, but then you realize they are suffocating you. Find another roommate to share expenses with ASAP, male or female, straight or gay. Get away from your fatal attraction.

Some say it's controlling, others say it's caring. I don't think any attempt to change him will be successful.
If you think he's mentally/ physically abusive, then leave now.
If not, then I suppose you should give it a few more weeks.

If my boyfriend and I go out and he gets drunk and acts weird, foolish and cannot walk... I get angry with him too! (I am single but anyway...)

O the other hand yo say he wants sex even when you are not up to it.. this is NOT GOOD. this is abuse. Run away from him!

I agree with Lex. Wait two months.

I get the sense though, that you are not entirely emotionally or intellectually mature based on what you write.

This, and your behaviour when drunk give the nutcase you call your bf, all the opportunity he needs to treat you the way he does.

Its really starting to get to me recently, even some of my friends have noticed. Since we moved in together he acts like a father figure to me, which is ok in a protective way but his taken it to the extreme.

I will give you an example.

The other night me, him and some friends went out for a drink everyone started getting drunk except my boyfriend who wasnt drinking coz he was driving home, well everyone got very drunk but after most things i was saying he nudged me or said im making a fool of myself and in the end i generally tripped over someones chair when i got up and he thought it was because i was drunk he grabbed me said to our friends 'Sorry dans making a fool out of himself i will take him home' then dragged me to the car and took me home.
I was fuming that he did this so we had a massive arguement when we got in and i went to storm off and he pushed me onto the stairs and demaned me to go to bed ?????
Like i was a child.
Anyway i went to bed and he althought i was appantly drunk he still wanted to have sex and as soon as he finished he went to sleep.

That is just an example of one night but he treats me constantly this way and its really starting to get too much for me. Other nights his reduced me to tears because i stayed at work late and didnt let him know. Screamed at me because i didnt do the washing up and so on.

I've spoken to him about it but as soon as i mention it he gets all loved up and tells me theres nothing to worry about and then it eventually leads to sex yet again, i swear thats all he wants even when i don't want it he always seems to end up getting it.

I just can't handleit anymore its becoming embrassing because i cant do or go anywhere without him knowing about it or coming with me then making a fool of me.

I don't want to leave him i really don't i love him but its getting too much i don't know how to approach it and sort it all out???

Well, all I can say is that if he treats you like a child, perhaps you act like a child. You just said that "he demanded that I go to bed". So what did you do? You listened to him instead of telling him "I'll go to bed when I want to go to bed. Understand?"

You need to be more aggressive with this. Don't let him change the conversation when you bring it up.

And that might have resulted in a bigger argument and a fight.

If you can't leave him because you love him then things need to change.

Set limits and communicate. Listen to his limits and try to meet him half way. Tell him he embarrasses you when he belittles you in front of others. If you truly love each other then you'll figure out a way for him to calm down a bit and you to grow up a little.

If this kind of approach doesn't work I agree with Lex. You got two months to figure it out. If by then you're still having these issues, you might wanna think about moving on.

And that might have resulted in a bigger argument and a fight.

As opposed to what, exactly?

Things just continuing as they are? Sometimes, there needs to be arguments and blowups, especially in cases like this. People need to stand their ground sometimes.

Another example of why gay man should just fuck and move on. We're not suppose to have relationships.

Of course I got bashed for saying that in my other post, but you guys will learn.

I'd forgotten this absurd post. As someone with 27 years with the same guy to reflect on....it is to laugh.

But I suspect the OP either ended up in the Emerg department with bruises and cuts caused by 'falling', or he grew a pair and told his psycho bf to fuck off or the OP has stopped behaving like an immature child and his bf has just exploded because there isn't anything for him to get out-of-control angry about anymore or they're having make-up sex again or the OP has tied weights to the body and thrown it in the river.

Yeah, I hope the OP told Ike Turner to "Go Fuck Himself" and stopped acting reckless.
