My Christmas Tree is up!

Update.

So we got the truck out and went this morning to cut the tree.

Got speeding ticket. 130 in an 80. $220 and 6 points.

Talked it down by taking blame for wanting to get tree cut and back asap. $95. No points.

The tree we had tagged last week had been cut by someone else, even though it had our tag on it.

Thought of Jesus, Mary and Joseph.

Finally found a pretty good tree and cut it about 12 feet for 10 foot finished height. $50.00.

Came home. Measured twice. Cut once. Put it in the stand. 9 feet. Too short. WTF!!!!!??????????

We both swear that we had measured correctly. And then we just swore a bit.

Thought about putting it up on a small platform. Or hanging it from ceiling.

Tried this.

Hated it.

Got in truck. Drove to lot again.

Our second choice tree had just been cut. We tried to tackle the people putting on their trailer. They resisted.

Scouted all the trees; realized that we'd never get one as nicely shaped and filled out.

Decided that bare back was no problem either.

Started not to care after looking at a hundred trees.

Found one that was pretty nice shape. Beautiful front.

Cut this tree. $40.00 Brought it home. Threw other tree out on verandah. Will put it up on the terrace outside for the birds.

Will put the new tree up tomorrow.

Will measure 3 times, this time.

Update:

So we cut the tree this morning.

Perfect cut.

And I'm working on getting the lights on....but I'm having to do a clean out today for a colonoscopy tomorrow. So about every three minutes, I'm having to run to the other end of the house to.....brb.

Okay. I'm back.

It is going to be a long afternoon getting this tree decorated with lights.

Oh. And it worked out great. A neighbour needed a tree so we dropped it off.

Its been up & on for a few weeks now. white tree with blue LED lights.
This doesn't quite show the true deep blue the lights are (looks truely awesome in the dark at night)

I never noticed that before LOL looking at that wall with the tree on it shows too now but if I turn on the main room lights it doesn't really show
