In the photo above, is that Cheyenne Mountain? If so, isn't there a zoo somewhere at its base? (I'm guessing NORAD is still there.)

All personal use of fireworks is currently banned in Colorado for that reason. Many of the professional displays are being canceled as well.
Hopefully if that fire was arson, whoever did it will be burned at the stake.

How truly sadYooper said:Apparently an elderly couple died that terrible night in Colorado Springs. I can't imagine the horror of dying being surrounded by fire. If I am reading between the lines properly (the full story isn't out yet), the husband was out when the firestorm erupted; she had limited mobility. He was seen pulling IN to his garage just as the last neighbor was fleeing from an oncoming wall of 300 foot high flames.
What is really terrible is that they're now pretty sure it was an arsonist who started the fire.
For those who haven't seen this photo and were wondering about the AFA

(That's Falcon Stadium in the foreground. Looks kinda tiny, eh?)
For the record, after a terrible night, things were better today, but the Colorado Springs fire is still at only 5% containment. Media estimates for homes lost last night are '200-300'; the official word won't be out for several days.
The fire above Boulder is only 35% contained but things are looking better; pre-evacuation has been lifted (for now) but some 50 fire departments are now deployed in Boulder.
DAYUM!!!!all that smoke coming from the mountain is BAD for your lungs, man.
