My Computer Was Attacked!

OK guys, I was wondering if the virus could have been in the browser, Firefox, since I use that at home and work.

Any ideas?

No. I gave you the answer back in post #15. It's an ad on the Yahoo site which is serving you up this particular plate of sh*t.

The exact same thing happened to me, as to the original poster. I ran AVG, malwarebytes CCleaner and others, but once I rebooted, the virus would start running again, Antivir Solution Pro is a bitch. after three days , PC finally crashed and had to get everything wiped.

I do remember that I was on Piratebay looking for a movie when the pop ups and virus started

^ You could have used 'System Restore ' to go back to a day before your infection.
Exactly the same happened to me the Virus got into my Setup links. But using System Restore got me out of it.

I got this same virus last week. It disables system restore, task manager, and just about anything else that can save you. But, I was able to reboot in safe mode and only then I could run system restore to get rid of the bitch. And I followed the bleepingcomputer steps to rid my system of anything left of it.
