Very strange topic I know but I have a straight friend (who I'm totally in love with btw but that's for another topic) who frequently makes comments about his penis being small. Why would someone mention it so much? Like is it a confidence thing? Sometimes he says it in a jokey way, but sometimes it's in a serious way.

So why don't you just ask him....."well how small is it- it can't be that small" and cross your fingers and maybe he'll show you.
 
All guys think they're small. He could be packin' 8-9", and still say that. Without knowing him personally, it's impossible to guess what his mindset is, if he's being serious and insecure, or just joking and/or trying to hide that he's got a monster in his pants.

Maybe he's just using that as an excuse to talk about his cock and bring it up in conversation... it's certainly got you thinking about it!!! :)

Yeah, there are so many reasons why he's bringing it up.

Maybe it is small, and it's his way of dealing with it. Talking about something gets it out there, and can help to alleviate stress and insecurity. As someone mentioned, a lot of guys think they have small penises, so maybe he just wants reassurance.

He may also be really well hung. I've met people like that who joke around about their tiny dick and they are quite massive.

But, who knows, right? You may just want to ask him straight up how big it is.

I think he might just be playing around, I would not assume anything more. All my straight friends joke about their cocks being small even the ones that don't.
