  • Hi Guest - Did you know?
Hot Topics is a Safe for Work (SFW) forum.

My local gas price is now 1.99. What's yours?

With all the talk of cutting off oil imports from Russia and supply problems and all that, it seems a good time to resurrect this thread.

Gas is higher now than it was, but I filled up today for the first time since Jan 4. On the 4th gas was $2.79, today I paid $3.80. I expected it be well over $4.00 but it wasn't.

What is the gas price where you live?

I came here for smug comments from prius owners or maybe a tesla driver and you guys kinda disappointed.

Yesterday when I was out Regular Unleaded was $4.89 a gallon.

On Sunday I saw several places around here at $3.99 per gallon. I haven't been out since then, but since the prices seem to go up every day, I don't know what it costs two days later.

I think the stations here tried to avoid going above $4/gallon, they held at $3.99 for a long time. But now that they went past $4 they're not holding back; it jumped to $4.29 on a Monday, $4.39 on Thursday, $4.49 Saturday.

On Monday I filled up with gas at $3.75 and today it was $4.09. It went up 34 cents overnight.

It was $4.29 or $4.39 where I usually fill up, but I wasn't paying attention.

What ?

btw. prices here are about to cross 10 US$...

Anyone complaining about gas prices that’s driving a gas guzzling SUV or truck, shut the fuck up!

Thank God I don’t have my 12mpg Jeep any more :)

Yes, very true and thanks for the reminder. Paying a little more here if it helps defeat the Russians is the least I can do and I'm happy to do it.

BTW, I brought this thread back to see how prices were rising where people live. I'm definitely not complaining about it, given the situation. Whatever helps.

Is that $10 US per litre in Germany or $10 per gallon? Because if that's litres, it's over $37 per gallon. Holy Crap!

I am glad when I bought my car I went with the Accord instead of my dream car, a Charger. I'd be screwed.

Quoted for truth.

While I wasn't paying attention it seems that North Americans have loaded up on hopped up trucks that get 10mpg.

Suck it up kids.

And maybe, just maybe....think before you drive. I love because as COVID is no longer the excuse for dodging stupid and unnecessary in-person meetings....even our clients are saying that we should be saving fuel so they can stay working from their home offices.

Some of us need a truck and can't afford a second vehicle.

I'm keeping my eye on development of electric trucks -- it's starting to sound like useful ones are very close now.

Meanwhile, I just might raise what I charge people for hauling stuff!
