My local gas price is now 1.99. What's yours?

Two or three days ago gas was $2.88, yesterday morning it was $3.18. Today it was $3.15. About 3 miles away I saw it at $2.99 today.

Yesterday the gas prices were $2.77. I thought that was really low, but I wanted to wait until the weekend to buy gas. Today the prices are $3.19 which is an increase of 42 cents over night. I did find a station today where it was $2.99 in cash or $3.07 with a credit card, so I bought gas today.

The price today at my nearest filling station is £1.359 per litre for unleaded petrol. That equates to $1.82 per litre.

There are 3.78 litres in a US gallon, so the price per gallon were we in the US would be $6.88.

There are 4.54 litres in an Imperial gallon, so the price per gallon in the UK is £6.17 or $8.27.

Here in the red state of Kansas, out in the rural area, I paid $2.69. Wish I was filling up the car and not a 5-gallon gas can for my lawn mowers.
Our local price is creeping up. Today I paid $2.91 p/gallon (before my 10 cent p/gallon loyalty rewards discount). But due to supply and demand, it usually goes up for the summer vacation months.

The gas price has been dropping quite a bit recently and although I don't need gas I thought it might go up, so I topped off my tank this morning at $2.84 (although I got an additional 5 cents off). This afternoon gas was $3.49. I have never seen it jump so much ($.65) nor have I seen that high a price in a long while.

This morning I saw gas at $2.48 per gallon. I haven't seen it that low for a few years. Why is it dropping now?

Paid $2.78 today (before my 10 cent p/gallon discount). Looks like the summer vacation travelers are back to work and the supply is getting cheaper for the fall.

/\ How many shopping days left before Christmas?

At one Speedway gas station the gas is $3.09. About a mile away it is $2.58 per gallon. What? Why?

Wow -- I gassed up for $4.49/gal; two days later it's $4.19. That's one heck of a two-day drop!
I know that California is known for some of the highest fuel prices in our Country...is Oregon known for high(er) prices? Kansas not really known for oil drilling country. I'm pretty sure our gas comes from Oklahome or Texas.
