This guy is about as big a pig as Ford.

TORONTO - The often unapologetic Councillor Giorgio Mammoliti regrets one thing in his 23-year political career.

“There is one part that I regret, there is one big mistake that I made and that is bringing religion into politics and I did that in the early ’90s as a member of provincial parliament,” Mammoliti told the Toronto Sun.

Back in 1994 when he was an NDP MPP, Mammoliti stood against his own party and voted to stop the plan to extend spousal insurance benefits to same-sex couples. At the time, Mammoliti delivered a speech in the legislature claiming gays were unfit parents, more susceptible to AIDS and had bizarre sexual habits.

I don't want him playing for our team.

But I would love someone to catch him with some hustler's cock in his mouth.

We figured that if you would accept Justin Bieber and Ted Cruz....maybe the US would take Ford as well.

Maybe, maybe not:

Toronto’s mayor-in-exile Rob Ford may not be where is was believed to be, which could be concerning for the citizens of Toronto who are relying on blind faith that, this time, Ford is actually seeking treatment for substance abuse issues.

The latest round of "Where in the World is Rob Ford?" began in earnest Tuesday morning after the Globe and Mail reported that Ford was turned away at the U.S. border after flying to Chicago in a private jet last Thursday.

The Consul General of Canada told the newspaper that Ford "voluntarily withdrew his application to enter the USA," and that he hadn't been refused entry "per se." A Customs Border Patrol spokesperson said anyone entering the U.S. could be found inadmissible on criminal or security reasons.

Ford had been reportedly destined for a treatment facility when he flew out of Ontario after temporarily stepping down from office amid the latest round of reports of drunken, oafish behaviour and video recordings of the mayor allegedly smoking crack.

On Tuesday, allies would not comment on where he was, only reaffirming that he was in a rehab facility.

"The mayor is 100 per cent in rehab. I can assure you of that," lawyer Dennis Morris told CBC.

Coun. Doug Ford, the mayor's brother and campaign manager, said he was doing well.

So the question is: where is Rob Ford? It is doubtful Ford would return to Toronto, the chances that he would be spotted are simply too high. Sources told the Toronto Sun that one potential location is the Homewood Health Centre in Guelph, Ont. The source told the newspaper the location had the added benefit of being closer for Ford’s friends and family.

But was it Rob or Doug? Will we ever know?
Stay tuned.

Doug Ford is also taking his brothers place as the idiot who trends on twitter. Nice going Dougie.

I heard on the news this morning that Doug intends to run for mayor in Rob's place if Rob is unavailable at election time.

I think they should run against each other so they can wrestle and have The Iron Sheik as the referee.

or they wrestle to see who will run. That would be cool.

Ford's popularity at an all-time low:

Rob Ford is expected to leave rehab and rejoin the Toronto mayoral race at the end of the month, but he'll be returning to a very different campaign than the one he left – one where he has dropped to also-ran status and holds an all-time low levels of support.

A new poll suggests that Ford now sits a distant third to candidates Olivia Chow and John Tory, with his numbers plummeting since he announced he had a drinking problem and went to rehab, as fresh allegations of crack cocaine use were made public.

A Forum Research poll released on Monday suggests Ford would pull in 20 per cent of the vote in a five-way race between himself, Chow, Tory, Karen Stintz and David Soknacki.

Ford's number has decreased in each of the past four monthly Forum polls.

Chow leads with 38 per cent support, a number that has increased in each of the past four polls.

John Tory now sits in second place with 28 per cent support, which has also increased in each of the past four polls. Soknacki and Stintz sit at five and four per cent respectively.

It couldn't have happened to a nicer guy.

Ford's return from rehab. He held a 'by invitation only' news conference during which he answered zero questions. He made lots of apologies and promises, and still fully expects to be re-elected this fall.

Time will tell, I suppose:

Apologies

"When I look back at some of the things I have said and some of the things I have did when I was using, I am ashamed, embarrassed and humiliated. I was wrong and I have no one, but no one to blame but myself."

"I want to sincerely, sincerely apologize not just to the people of Toronto but every single person who was hurt by my words and my actions. It was never, never, my intention to embarrass the city or offend my fellow members of council."

"I deeply regret some of the personal choices I have made in the past."

"To the people of this great city, I want to offer a public apology. I used poor judgment and I take full responsibility for my actions."

"To my fellow councillors, and especially to Karen Stintz, for my hurtful and degrading remarks I offer a deep-felt apology for my behaviour."

Promises

"I now realize that I was blind to the dangers of some of the company that I kept and those associations have ended."

"My commitment to living clean is now unwavering."

"At Greenstone I accepted that in my position (as mayor), I am held to a higher standard."

"Substance abuse is a very, very difficult thing to overcome. But I will keep, I will keep battling this disease for the rest of my life. I will continue to receive ongoing professional treatment for my substance abuse problem."

"I am absolutely determined to make myself the best person I can be for my family, for the people of Toronto. And with your support I’m also resolved to continue to work harder than ever for the taxpayers of this great city.”

His speech:

He is finished. His 15 minutes are up and the world has already tired of him. Good bye RoFo.

What a pig. Turning the East York Canada Day parade into an election campaign:

MAYOR.jpg

TORONTO - Supporters cheered and critics jeered as an energetic-looking Rob Ford mingled with Toronto revellers Tuesday, a day after his official return from a stint in rehab.

Marching in a Canada Day parade in the city's east end, the scandal-plagued Toronto mayor was greeted with shouts of "disgrace" and "resign" from some in the crowd, which he brushed off by wishing friend and foe alike the best on the country's 147th birthday.

Ford seemed in high spirits despite his detractors and said he was happy to be back.

"It feels great. Absolutely great. Fantastic," he said while his aides handed out mini "Ford Nation" flags and magnets to the crowd.

^ I saw this yesterday and found it interesting that one of their first thoughts was, "Who do you work for?" In other words, which political party had planted him.

Ford has now admitted that he often drank alcohol to the point of inebriation while working in his office. That didn't go over well with the public. Even many Ford Nationers weren't pleased to hear that one.

Personally, I don't think 2 months is long enough to 'dry out'. It won't be long before reports of another 'drunken stupor' hit the news.

I found the article:

In a video of the confrontation with Ford, someone in the mayor's entourage can be heard asking Killoran who he worked for, alleging he was a plant from a rival campaign. Killoran can also be seen reacting to the mayor's brother, Coun. Doug Ford, who appeared to accuse Killoran of having anger management issues.

The campaign didn't stop there. On Twitter, some began pointing to a Toronto Star opinion article on education, apparently written by Killoran last year, as evidence he was somehow linked to the newspaper that Ford has previously accused of mounting a personal vendetta against him.

The Toronto Sun's Joe Warmington further noted that he spoke to a student of Killoran's who said the teacher had previously made anti-Ford comments while teaching a politics class.

At the heart of the accusations is the belief that it is impossible that a civically-engaged resident can demand answers from a mayor who has held Toronto under his thumb with years of offensive behaviour, police investigations and allegations of corruption without having ulterior motives. Killoran must be a political agent of some sort.

In a fulsome interview with the National Post, Killoran stated, "You don’t have to be some partisan maniac to be angry with this mayor."

I just returned from Toronto, and saw the confrontation on the CBC!

Way to go, Joe Killoran! I'm glad that someone called that joke of a mayor out on his piss-poor record!

So now, where's PeTe to check in on this? (I tried to contact him when I was in Toronto, but no such luck!)

Well, Robbie is at it again, showing his contempt for the LGBTQ community. At City Hall today, Ford refused to stand TWICE during ovations for the organisers of World Pride. What a piece of shit that man is:

Toronto councillors expressed outrage on Wednesday after Toronto Mayor Rob Ford intentionally slighted World Pride organizers at city hall, refusing stand for two separate ovations while councillors and city staff celebrated the successful international festival.

According to reporters and several councillors, Ford declined to stand while everyone else in the council chamber gave two ovations, sitting stoically in his chair until the congratulations had concluded.
