  • Hi Guest - Did you know?
Hot Topics is a Safe for Work (SFW) forum.

My Mayor smokes crack............does yours.

...to me, they appear interchangeable.I am under the impression that they might even share the same brain...

Poll conducted last night (September 12) by Forum Research following Doug Ford's entry into the mayoral race:

The poll — conducted Friday night, partly before and partly after Ford made his emotional first speech as a candidate — had Tory at 41 per cent, Ford at 34 per cent, and Chow at 19 per cent. Three per cent said they didn’t know, 3 per cent said they would vote for somebody else.

You know, I feel really bad thinking this; but I doubt Rob Ford's tumour. I feel like this is him leaving the election without saying he's been defeated, and then setting it up for his brother to get in. Polls also show Doug in a close second place.
There's a lot of reasons why I don't think Ford has a tumour, and if it's cancer it definitely not malignant.

However, Like I said, I feel bad thinking it, but if I'm wrong. I'm wrong and hopefully he recovers. However this just all seems so off.

^:D I took rareboy's post to be more of a "drug" issue, with his past.

haha...no...I was actually sympathizing with the docs and nurses who would be looking at the biggest as hole in the city...and that is before they would made him lie on his stomach with his hospital gown open at the back...

^Ah! Gotcha...Thanks, makes even more sense now.................:D

Which makes my post make sense as well:

Well, that's this day ruined. Some things you just can't unsee... even if it's only in your mind.

Talk about a Supermoon!!

;)

^ I don't like to think how many people got a peek at my backside when I was in hospital last January. With both hands needed for the Zimmer frame, unless someone walked beside me and held the back of the gown closed...

I expect those who saw me looked like this:

WHat the heck is a zimmer frame?

Sounds like something used by oldies

There is something wrong with Ontario that they had to wait for a tumour to put an end to this fiasco. He should have been ejected a long time ago.

And yet he is running for a "safe seat" still? No seat should be safe, because the people should have a brain. And the safety of a seat shouldn't matter, because he should not even be eligible to be a candidate in the election.

. . . I doubt Rob Ford's tumour.

The Doug-for-Rob switcheroo was predicted by Rob Ford’s erstwhile campaign manager back in July:

But Nick Kouvalis, who managed Rob Ford's victorious 2010 campaign, somehow saw most of this coming.

Kouvalis, who now supports mayoral candidate John Tory, tweeted this now-terrifyingly-accurate prediction in July, confidently writing, "you heard it here first."

@jpags Rob Ford will run & win in Ward 2 - Doug Ford will run & lose the Mayor's race. You heard it here 1st. #topoli
— Nick Kouvalis (@NickKouvalis) July 18, 2014

Bob Rae, who stepped down as interim leader of the Liberal party in the spring of 2013, also made a similar prediction in May, though it was less prophetic than Kouvalis’.

Conventional wisdom and Rob Fucking Ford.

Excellent read! Thanks!

From the article:

He was not struck by lightning; alcohol and drug abuse, obesity, genetics and bad judgment are his undoing.

I will not tuck him in with any of my sympathy, especially not when he has issued a tissue of falsehoods and exaggerations from his sickbed, in the hope that it would go unchallenged.

He said, “I am unable to commit to the heavy schedule required for a mayoral candidate.” He will, instead, run for council.

Only in Fordlandia does that make sense.

He said, “I derailed the gravy train.”

He did not. He just rerouted the damn thing.
He tried and tried again to use his office — make that the office of the people of Toronto — in an effort to help his friends, to help himself, and to further his private interests.
