Toronto police spoke to Mayor Ford’s senior staffer after tip linked killing to alleged drug video

A senior member of Rob Ford’s office was interviewed by police last week about a tip linking a video allegedly showing the mayor smoking illicit drugs to a recent Toronto homicide, two separate sources have confirmed.
Two officers interviewed the staffer away from City Hall, according to a source with knowledge of the meeting.
The informant in the mayor’s office purported to know the address and unit number where the video was being held.

They went on to say that the video originally belonged to an individual who may have been killed for its potentially valuable contents, according to a source.
the video, that allegedly shows Mr. Ford standing with a man believed to be Anthony Smith, a 21-year-old man gunned down in downtown Toronto in March.

My goodness, the Ford brothers are disgusting they called the media maggots on their radio show on CFRB 1010 yesterday. I really think Ford had the guy murdered or found a way to dispose of the video. I am hoping the guys with the video were smart enough to make copies.That video needs to be released for the world to see.
 
So the press secretary and deputy press secretary also resigned yesterday.....rats....ship....sinking....and today the revelation that Ford's mysterious 'aide' David Price, his ex football coach and friend involved in Doug Ford's hashish ring was asking about how they would go about getting the video hypothetically, before the story broke.

God, these boys are dirty.

And yes, there are apparently copies.
 
Glad Gawker did reach the goal and raised the $200,000K. According to articles I read Robyn Dolittle a Toronto Star reporter says there are other copies of the video somewhere. She said there's a few more copies of the video so hopefully someone reaches out to Gawker and the world gets to see this son of a bitch taken down! Rob Ford and his brother Doug are disgusting SOBs their attitude and their arrogance is so abhorrent.

The worst part is I feel for the other City Hall workers who have to work with these two dimwits. There is a dark cloud over Toronto City Hall because of this scandal. I really hope the video surfaces soon.

The exodus from Toronto Mayor Rob Ford’s office continued this week when two more members of the embattled mayor's staff announced their resignations amid the fallout from allegations he was videotaped smoking from a crack pipe.

Policy adviser Brian Johnston and executive assistant Kia Nejatian stepped away from the circus on Thursday after sources claimed Ford admitted to knowing the whereabouts of the video in question and Ontario's privacy commissioner warned the mayor not to shred or destroy documents coming out of his office.

For those keeping track, that is five (5) staff members who have left the Mayor’s Office since Gawker and the Toronto Star independently reported viewing a video of the inebriated mayor smoking from what appears to be a crack pipe while making homophobic and racially-charged comments.

New news:

The Star broke the news this morning that several Ford staffers admitted to them in a closed meeting soon after the news of the video broke that Ford knew where the video was, right down to an address, building, and apartment.

Oh, and Doug Ford's political career is all but over. If he runs in the next provincial election, it won't be as a Conservative.

This story is even making the news south of the border. It is very rare for any kind of Canadian news to make it to U. S. media at all - even something as major as a vote of confidence for the PM gets no coverage here.

Ford, in so many ways, sounds exactly like a modern U. S. Republican, complete with the hypocrisy.
 
So six people have resigned from hizzoner's staff in one week. I check every morning now to see who's gone today.
What a train wreck.

There is also a story about Doug Ford (Rob's brother) slamming Ontario's new premier for not minding her own business. The guy is the worst speaker in political history.

These people need to go away. If they're the future of Ontario, we're in big trouble.
 
City Hall is looking pretty this morning. Will Rob love it when he goes to work monday morning?

I am glad the general public is speaking out this doesn't look good for Ford but the problem is the Municipal Act isn't powerful enough. I think it is impossible for Ford to resign unless that crack video surfaces.

Mayor Ford to skip Pride Parade

It looks like the mayor will be skipping Toronto's Pride Parade again this year.

In a radio interview, Rob Ford said if the colourful march lands on the Canada Day long weekend, he will pass. He has a long-standing tradition of cottaging with his family that weekend.

The Pride Parade is June 30th.

Ford has yet to take part in the parade since taking over as mayor of Toronto. In May, he took part in a flag-raising at City Hall for the International Day Against Homophobia and Transphobia.
 
I just listened to the last 10 minutes of the Rob and Doug radio show.
And they said the best newspaper in Toronto is the The Toronto Sun..........omg these boys are trailer trash.

and they are happy Vaughn got a casino and toronto city council voted against it.(thank god)

Every time I hear the name Vaughn this song comes to mind
