I have been taking a Fitness Walking class over the past 3 weeks, into my 4th week. It has turned itself into tone of the best classes I could have taken. I am learning so so much. Like for example, at the start it was hard to get myself into a routine, but I am now in one. I go to the gym and use the elliptical for 30 mins after class cause my target areas are the fatty areas. My gut, my man boobies. They need to go away for good. I have been introduced to 8 min abs which I easily do at home on Youtube. Also balance balls. Those are great for doing crunches. It eliminates the back pain and its more of a proper crunch. I am eating so much better as well. Had a scrambled egg and a serving of shredded wheat for breakfast. For lunch I had a hot dog, it is a meat so it is still ok to eat according to the teacher. No bread and only a dab of ketchup to dip. Drinking tons upon tons of water and found a new vitamin c water drink. I t has a blueberry pomegrante taste...Yum!!! Gave up soda entirley, even diet. Drinking skim milk, and while I am at work my little snack is a bran muffin, they are very tiny muffins....Eating salads from Burger King, but that is ok. It's a 1.00 salal with light italian dressing. Affordable and managable. Walking more at night. But I do need some advice... Is there more that I should be doing? I mean I walk everyday, do 8 min abs everyday, doin the gym mon-fri..For a half hour tops...I am already at class so its easy to motivate myself to go. And what types of exercise can I do to improve the loss of my man boobies..Any advice is greatly appreciated...:-)
 
Doing what you're doing should eventually produce results.

You don't really say what your current shape is, except that your breasts are too large (whatever that means). How long you've been doing the routine? Did it just start with the fitness walking or have you been dieting/working out for a while?

What are your goals (besides reducing the breasts)?
 
I weight 189 and am 5'7. I am considered obese. I am for the most part slim except for my stomach and my man tits...Those areas are my huge huge goals....I am trying to stay healthy in the process of exercising..More a loss educate myself to be more strict and disciplined with losing weight and staying healthy. Just need advice..
 
At your age just about any diet that involves cutting down on your calories will work for you. The key thing is that it has to work for you in that you can keep up doing it. Typically your goal should be about 1 kg/week (around 2 pounds), so you're looking at about a half a year, but you'll see positive results way before that.

When I had a lot of weight to lose (following quitting cigarettes), I went swimming for an hour every day. It's not only a great all around body toner but it's good for the mind as well... helps you focus on things and throw off stress.
 
Running on the treadmill is what works for my body in terms of burn calories. For years i avoided running like that just coz i didn't like it to get exhausted so quickly, So i satrted running oly 5 min and adding a couple of minutes each week, until i reached 25 min. So i run for 25 min before start my workout program, and it's working good, of course it takes some time and consistency to see results.
 
i just joined a gym today and i love it....worked on the elliptical for 45 min...i love that i can sweat like i do using that...all cardio for a while and 8 min abs to gain muscle in my problem areas..my gut !!!
 
its working!!! i went from 189 to 179 in 10 days!!! i workout everyday for 30-40 min, eat better....i cannot wait to be thin and in shape and still stay healthy....i just need to go to the gym and make it a routine forever....cant be that hard....well i hope not...:-)also cant wait to post before and after pics....

Don't be too excited, sometimes if you lose weight that fast it is because of water loss and not fat loss.

But you are doing a good job. And good luck to you.
 
Keep doing what you are doing and your goals will be achieved. Work on portion control for you diet forever. It works. Also be aware, you will lose weight where you last put it on and it will work backwards, and, you didn't put it on overnight, so won't come off overnight. That you want to make exercise a daily routine, many do it until they achieve their goals and after that tend to go back to old habits. Make it fun and keep it interesting and make always a priority. Then it becomes a permanent change.
