Chapter 9: Realisation

I lay there in Taylor's embrace, feeling his warmth. I wasn't alone I knew this now. Where there was once pain, I now felt love. I felt as though I belonged here, in this embrace. I tried to sit up, but Taylor held me down. "You’re not going anywhere" he said to me. "You’re spending the night here, not gonna have you think of Seth and start crying again." he told me. "But what if the others find out?" I said to Taylor. "We'll make sure they won’t, I told you I'd look out for you and I meant it" said Taylor. Eventually he freed me from his embrace but not till I promised him I'd return after dinner.

I went to my room and worked on my homework. After it was completed I was called to dinner. Seth didn't show up, causing Mama and Mr.Kabel to worry. Seymour attempted to coerce him to come, but he refused. After dinner I returned to my room and changed into some clothes to sleep in, and then I began to sneak into Taylor's room.

As soon as I entered Taylor jumped me from behind and cuddled me. "You ok? Seth didn't show up to dinner..." Taylor said. I nodded but I was concerned...was it because of me? "It'll be ok" Taylor said as he rubbed my head. Eventually Taylor and I were lying on his bed and we began discussing Seth.

Seth was alone, but I wanted him to not be alone. Even if it's just 1 person, it's better than being by himself. I wanted to find a way to prove to Seth he wasn't alone with me and his brothers. "We'll find something" Taylor said as we both drifted off to sleep. I was determined to help Seth with Taylor's aid.

I awoke what appeared to be a few hours later. The sun had yet to rise and Taylor was next to me. I sat up, and Taylor began to awaken. "Something wrong?" he asked me. "I just woke up..." I said to him. He pulled me close to him and into another embrace. "You’re warm..." I said to Taylor, as I felt his body heat. He began to laugh to himself. He put his hand near my face and pulled me into a kiss.

"Look..." he began saying. “I thought about it a bit and...go for it..." he then said. "Go for it?" I asked him. "You'll understand when you’re with Seth" he said smiling. We both drifted off to sleep in each other’s embrace. Taylor wanted me to do something to help Seth, but I didn't know what.

When I awoke once more, the sun was up. Taylor was still asleep next to me; our embrace had broken while we slept. I nudged Taylor and he woke up. "Mornin'" he said to me. I smiled back to him. I got off the bed, and so did Taylor. "Err...you’re..." I said, looking at his crotch. "You don't get morning wood?" Taylor said laughing as he looked at me. I laughed back as I shook my head. He started getting changed for school in front of me. "Umm...?" I wasn't sure what I should say or do.

"Huh?" Taylor said turning to me. "You've seen it before...so why hide it?" he said as he continued getting changed. When he was dressed he told me to get dressed for school. I slowly returned to my room and got changed. We had breakfast then went to school. Seth was absent from the meal once again, though Mama told me he requested to eat in his room.

School seemed to drag on and on. I planned to do whatever I could to help Seth, writing down ideas in my notebooks and playing different scenarios in my head. The lunch bell rang and I went to discuss ideas with Taylor. I told him my thoughts and he provided his. Eventually when I was through with my Idea's I sat there, resting my head on Taylor's shoulder. "You know...I really do like you" I said to him. He looked at me and smiled, and then he leaned in and kissed me. After it he pulled back and whispered into my ear "Thanks". He then pulled away and sat back, "Your fun to kiss...let’s leave it at that" Taylor said. Before I could probe him for more details the bell rang to signal the end of our time.

I continued thinking of ideas till school ended, and then Taylor and I returned home. When everything seemed quite, I went to Seth's room. I knocked and got no answer so I entered his unlocked room. Inside I saw Seth...

Huh? OMG! What was Seth doing? Organizing his Honchos using the Dewey Decimal System?

Terrific so far, looking forward to much more.
Thanks Swifty, a kiss4U

I love the character development in this story. If Seth were a real person I would be extremely concerned about him at this point. It sounds like he has some major issues to deal with. I look forward to more...

I LOVE how quick the updates on this story are. They aren't just hastely thrown together either, they are good updates. Thanks for that, otherwise I would be sitting here going crazy wondering what is going to happen next.

Swifty,
I've just worked my way through your intriguing tale of two families.

You're developing this quite nicely. Seth is definitely going to be an interesting topic to explore - surrounded by his Quiet Darkness - it's quite unnerving and captivating at the same time.

I can see why Taylor would tell Simon to just Go for it with Seth - a puzzling statement but, him knowing that Simon is gay, and extremely sensitive, AND apparently breaking through the tough shell that Seth has quietly built around himself, Taylor acknowledging that that is quite an achievement in and of itself.

He knows that Simon is a key to unlock the loneliness and darkness quietly surrounding Seth.

Thanks for devoting so much time to this story, and sharing it with us.

Sorry it's taking so long for the next chapter, I have idea's but putting them into words and making it work isn't easy. It's Seth so I want to make it 'perfect' :) . Feelings, emotions and actions are important to this arc so I'm trying to make them work perfectly while keeping it real.

Furthermore, something I'm opening up. In between each brothers 'arc' I'm going to put in a somewhat 'mini-arc' like I did with introducing Michael to the brothers. Now for this I'd love fan input. PM me idea's of what YOU would like to see or learn about from the story. The one that I like most I'll adapt into one of the mini-arcs separating the brothers stories.

Bit of a short chapter, but fairly big plot-wise. Seth's getting a lot easier to write now, I'v already got many idea's for next chapter so I might start on that tonight ;)

Chapter 10: A broken barrier

Inside I saw Seth, sitting on his bed writing in a book. He didn't notice me, nor could I see his face. I called out his name, but he did not respond. I walked near him, but he did not respond. I stood in front of him, still he did not respond. From this position I could now see his face; he was focused on what he was doing, blocking out anything else in sight.

I didn't know what to do, but I heard Taylor's words, "Go for it". Was it my imagination or reality? Then from my heart I spoke, "Do you know what it is to be alone? Because you aren't alone". He looked up at me, the focus from his face had lifted and he looked as though he was staring into nothingness...the darkness he spoke of.

"Go for it" I heard Taylor's words say again. I felt my body move, I lost control and my body just moved itself. What I felt, and what I set out to do was now guiding me. So I placed my hand on his head, "You aren't alone" I felt myself say.

I saw his eyes widen, as though a sudden realisation had hit him. His hands moved upwards, towards my body. They wrapped around me and pulled me into a soft embrace. I felt myself gain control of my body, and embraced him back. For the final time, I heard Taylor's words speak. "Go for it" I heard him say, as I begun to remember how he showed me I wasn't alone.

I leaned in, near Seth and kissed him. It took him by surprise at first, but he didn't fight it. Then as we kissed, our tongues connected. Our embrace, our kiss, I was determined to help him. Eventually we pulled away, gasping for air.

"Dinner!" a voice outside yelled out. I really didn't want to leave Seth as he was, but if people were to see us like this it may make him worse. So without speaking I removed my hands from him, and removed his hands from me. Then I stepped away from him. As I turned to face the door, near his bed I saw a lamp. His room was always dark, just as he was. But I was determined now to bring him out of it. I walked towards it and turned it on. Turning towards him, I smiled as he stared at the light. Then I moved towards the door and let myself out of his room, watching as he stared into that light.

I walked down the hall and there I saw Taylor. He looked at me and smiled. "How’s Seth?" he asked. "I think I may have found a light in his darkness" I replied to him. "Great, tell me about it later, I'm gonna go to dinner" Taylor then said. "Go for it" I replied as he began walking. He turned, looked at me and smiled. Then the door behind us opened and out stepped Seth. He looked at us both then smiled. And for the very first time, he walked to dinner with us.

Thanks Swifty, great chapter.
It seems Simon is the catalyst pulling this rather disfunctional family together.
Seth's story is so touching
More Please

Swifty,
Permit me to echo BADGreek and Harry113's sentiments - this, while short on written words, was long on power and meaning.

You, very concisely, and economically, cut to the core of the matter with Seth, and Went for it, releasing him from his shell of darkness.

Thanks for keeping this wonderful story moving for us.

:D

At first I thought this story was all a little bit too unbelievable, what with the gay curious guy suddenly being whisked away to a mansion full of hot gay guys. But the character development is so great that is makes it all believable :)

Personally I hope this story ends in a big Orgy.. I'm talking Simon, Michael, Seth, Taylor, Spark, The other brother (?)... And then seymour can pretend like he accidentally walked in on them when really we all know he's after a bit too.

But don't let me sway your writing, you write what you think is best :)

Sorry for the long wait!
World of Warcraft has been taking up all my free time :)

1 or 2 more Seth chapters. I already know how I'm going to end his story :)

Now I know some people might not like a Seth sex scene, but I will be including one as I'v always planned to make part of it symbolic.

Chapter 11: The feelings locked away - Part 1

After my encounter with Seth, he gradually became friendlier. He spoke more, he got more involved and he even smiled occasionally. My Mama looked like she was about to cry when Seth began talking to her, not tears of fear but tears of joy. Mr.Kabel smiled as he saw Seth's progress, even though they would never know how it happened. Thus days passed.

About a week after Seth began to open up; I was talking to Taylor at home about Seth. "He's opened up to you" Taylor said to me. I smiled, and then Taylor patted my head. "But..." Taylor began saying. "I never knew how he turned out like this. One day it just...happened" Taylor told me. "If we don't know how it started, it could happen again" I replied to him. Taylor nodded, looking at me in the eyes. We continued to talk, but Taylor raised a good point. We never knew why Seth became distant, what was there to stop him from distancing himself from us again tomorrow? Questions circulated my mind till that night.

I was doing my homework in my room, when I heard a knock at my door. To my surprise it was Seth. "Oh...you’re working..." he said when he saw me.”You can stay" I said to him as I smiled. He sat next to me and watched me do my homework; whenever I made a mistake he corrected me. Seth was quite smart, yet he explained things in a way I could understand. When I was done, I turned to him and asked him, "So what's wrong? You don't visit me often".

He looked away from me, and then said "...Lonely". I worried for him, so I got up and embraced him. He embraced me back in the same way Taylor did. I looked up at him and spoke as we embraced, "Still lonely?" I asked him. He shook his head and smiled. He stayed in my room for about 3 hours, just talking and the occasional hug.

Seth came and saw me every day. Each time, he stayed in my room for shorter periods. One day he didn't show up so I went to bed. I awoke during the night to find Seth sitting next to my bed. He was facing my door, writing in a book. When he heard me wake up he closed the book and turned to face me. "Seth?" I began saying, "What are you doing?" I then said. "Was lonely, came to see you but you were asleep. Couldn’t sleep” Seth said to me. I gestured for Seth to sit on my bed and he did.

We began talking about the night; life, and other topics. Eventually I brought up the book he was writing in. He was writing in it once before when I saw him in his room. "It's my diary..." Seth said. "You were writing in it once before, I remember seeing it" I told him. Seth explained to me that his diary was his version of a stress ball. When he felt 'In the dark' he would write his thoughts and feelings in it. I reached out for it, but he pulled it away from me.

"But you aren't lonely now, right?" I asked him. He shook his head as he looked at me. I moved in closer to him and embraced him, "You weren't ever alone" I whispered to him. He turned to me and kissed me. I felt my body weaken by his kiss, and I fell back on my bed. Seth looked down at me concerned, yet...lovingly.

Seth leaned down and kissed me, his body was against mine. Slowly he pulled back, looking at me. "Stop?" he asked me. I leaned into him and kissed him, he knew my answer. I was driven by both my worry and sense of care. Seth leaned in and kissed me again, as he moved his hand down my body.
