My puppy!

I hardly know which of you is luckier. That's one adorable puppy, and you...you know.

You don't see Akitas around very often. They are great dogs. It's good you have experience with them. The average pet owner would not be able to provide the guidance an Akita needs to be happy and adjusted. I like her name too. I had an Akita mix named Sinjin about 10 years ago.

Thanks for sharing.

I find it disturbing that your dog weighs 15 lbs. less than I do.

But she's a purty little thang. I kinda wanna lick her face. :)

I agree she is cute, on the other hand, I wouldnt exactly call her "little". Glad to see you and your little girl enjoy play time together.

OMG I love Akitas!

In college, I worked with a colony of research Akitas at the vet teaching hospital. We were researching progressive retinal atrophy, trying to identify some early identifying signs so breeders could know not to breed dogs that would develop the disease. There were about 30 dogs, and part of my job was to socialize and train them so we could work with them in the lab without danger of injury.

They are terrific dogs, when they're worked with. They can definitely be headstrong! But when they accept you as their alpha, they're so affectionate and loyal, it's all worth it!

She's a gorgeous dog! They are so great to have around, just unconditional love for you and always wanting to be there with you.

I hope you enjoy her company and kisses for many years.

That first photo of her is the best! he he she looks like she'd be a lot of fun.
