The economy could spiral into hyperinflation not seen since the early 1980s if the Federal Reserve does not tighten its monetary policy soon, Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) warned Tuesday.

As The Ranking member of of the Senate Finance Committee, he has been around the block a few time. He is feared on the Hill. Grassley speaks BHO does listen.

Grassley does think that keeping Bernanke would be good at his time however then taking a risk on a new Fed Chair.

And I see that the New York Fed has a new Chair , Denis Hughes, president of the New York state branch of the AFL-CIO.

Good a Union Leader. The Backbone of Dims and BHO..|

Grassley is long past retirement.

Grassely will never retire as long as he has constituents as dumb as the ones that populate his town hall meetings. Grassely is one of the better arguments for "death panels".

There are no "death panels"...or didn't you get the DNC talking points?

On a leash, I suspect.

Chuckie has become a national laughingstock. Time to put that old mare out to pasture.

Right after you put the swimmer Kennedy and Sheets Byrd out. They are way past their expiration date. You should worry about the buffoons in your party first and there are plenty of them.

^ Why , is it cuz it O.K. for Dims to fave old people in office and nut the pugs ?

No, because the post is about your Senator, remember? And Senator Grassley is a jerk. Most recently, he perpetuated the lie that the health care reform legislation contained language that would set up death panels, when he obviously knew that to be a lie. If he didn't know it was a lie, then he is truly too stupid to be a Senator. So there you have it, he is either too dishonest or too stupid to be a Senator. Unfortunately, he has a lot of company in the Senate.

^ This is the level of discourse that just makes people tune out right wingers and rush to vote Democratic.

Fact: Robert Byrd was a Grand Wizard in the KKK

Fact: Ted Kennedy left a dying woman in a car and didn't even notify the police till the next day.

If that makes people vote Democrat so be it.

Fact: Bush lied to the American people to build support for an unnecessary war.

Fact: The Bush administration promulgated rules permitting torture, in violation of U.S. and International War.

Fact: Republicans are outraged that lawbreakers who engaged in illegal torture will be investigated.

Fact: Most, not all, Republicans don't have a problem with any of the above.

Whatever Kennedy and Byrd did, it was not a threat to the Constitution and the continuation of civil society and the rule of law in the United States. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for the Bush administration and all you politician law breaking enablers in the Republican party.

Fact: Bush is out of office and will never run for office again
Fact: The swimmer and sheets are still in office and in poor health. It is time for them to step aside and take care of their health and ponder the atrocities from their younger days. In Byrds case being not only a member but a leader in one of the most evil organizations in the history of mankind. Kennedy a young girl left dead. A first wife shattered by years of living with the alcohol abuse and infidelity.
So these are the men you in the Democrat party think are the most qualified to be in the US senate

Rupublicans as they have presented themselves since Reagan are about war, greed and sinking to the lowest type of pandering to the selfishly wealthy and the Constitutionally ignorant. There was a time when rational voices in both parties could quell dangerous stupidity i.e. McCarthyism, segregation, xenophobia and the like. Now, since the Republicans are running scared there are no more policies, just talking points based on ignorance, fear and greed. They seem to lean towards fascism in order to silence opposition.

Last week your "Good and Smart" senator said he would not support any healthcare bill that did no have significant republican support.

He seems to be saying that not matter what I (the good n smart guy) think I will defer to my republican colleagues.

Is that the kind of thinking that inspires you to vote for a man?

Party before country. :(

^^ I've had to endure conservatives crying about their treatment by the media for as long as I can remember.

If there's a conservative crybaby who has not whined about the media he has escaped my attention.
