Wow i am on the same boat as you in love with a straight guy. But like everyone else said find stuff to do and occupy your time and cut back on talking to him. And moving with him will be a big problem you will see him and his gf all the time and if they get serious hes going to try to get her to move in. That's going to be a disaster and also try to look for gay friends too




I think the main reason for my attraction to straight guys is because gay guys are so hard to get along with. And you can easily meet a cool straight guy
 
I'm also in a very similar situation.. I have lived with one of my best friends for 3 years now.. he's straight, I'm closeted and in love with him. We're both in NYC for the summer and are thinking about getting an apartment together, but I'm starting to think it's not a good idea.

He's had a girlfriend for a few months now, and Haunted187 put it so well-- it feels like a knife wound every time he talks about hanging out with her. I tried distancing myself from him, knowing I didn't want to get in the way of him and his girlfriend, but he started noticing and called me out on it.

I really have no idea what to do. I'm not ready to come out, and I don't think I will be until after graduation. I think in college it's easier for me to be his roommate because I have other friends.. I won't have that right away in NYC. Any advice guys?

setting yourselves up for pain, guys.

if you love the guys you will do what is good for them and not for you. you will support them in their choices and be a friend to them.

if you push this, it will fail and you will get hurt. if you cannot move in with him without pushing it...don't go there.
 
Bottom line - if you can't move in with him without feeling pain, then it's best that you don't.

You are so lucky to be in NYC for the summer. There are so many hot guys everywhere in the city. I think you will surely forget all about that guy when you see all the guys there. I dont think you will even be able to stay in the closet. But be very careful as far as protecting yourself.
