but when read his history of taking risk,
maybe he should win the Darwin's award ??

Bill Cosby.

Just so he serves his full sentence.

Charles Ng.

One could only hope he lives long enough to see justice. The postponement of his execution has been justice denied for the people he murdered and the women he tortured, raped, and murdered.

He was sentenced to death. California has denied justice to the citizens by not carrying out the sentence handed down legally at the trial.

If he could just live long enough for the State to resume its obligation.

He is human excrement, as was his accomplice, Leonard Lake. Lake took cyanide upon his arrest, a true coward. They should be wiped from the Earth.

Robert Mapplethorpe

We would be further along if he had been given the decades taken from him.

Christa McAuliffe. She would have been able to inspire even more women in S.T.E.M. in the U.S. and abroad.

Ronnie James Dio - 67 was too young to go and his voice was great right up until the end.

Quorthon (Thomas Forsberg of Bathory) - only 38. He was such an inventive genre-defining guy that I am sure he would still be a creative force today.

Ozzie Osbourne ... his voice died in 1978.

Jesus - but I guess that would ruin the whole vicarious-sacrifice-redemption-through-blood thing.

Betty Saxe-Coburg Gotha von Windsor ... even as an anti-monarchist I hope she continues to live as long as possible just to keep Charlie away from the throne.

If she lives long enough Charles may predecease her and William and Kate will take over. I'll bet there's a large portion of the British population which hopes that will happen.

You might say she lives on (well, sort of) in her daughter, Maya Rudolph.

True...and I wrote a note to Maya once telling her how much I liked her mom...I can't remember now if I sent it or not. I remember looking for the place to email it....

Patricia Morison. She is 103 years old now and doing well. She made lots of movies, but Hollywood didn't really do her well. She originated the role of Lilli Vanessi in "Kiss Me Kate" on Broadway thanks to Cole Porter who insisted on her.
We have so few links to old Hollywood and Broadway's Golden Age left.

George Butterworth

Butterworth was an English composer who enlisted in the British army at the beginning of WWI. He was shot in the head by a sniper. He was 31.

Sadly, Butterworth destroyed much of his compositions before he was sent to the Front. Little of his work remains. This is one of them: The Banks of Green Willow.

Alexander the Great.

Had he lived longer he would just have ended up killing more people and creating more misery. He may very well have been killed by his own men who finally had had enough of his endless campaigns and his murderous rage. The mosaic in Naples you show is wonderful, however. Another reason why the archaelogical museum there is one of the great museums of the world.
