"Use This Child"

Bash-N-The-Code

I feel as though a disclaimer should be posted here.

Lest anyone should think my prior post "Use This Child" is promoting something inappropriate, let me waylay any concerns.

If you've not given it a listen, the posted track is actually a song promoting the idea that we are all children of the universe. We are all children of God and may we each one be used in a way that reflects all that is good. Thus the title "Use This Child". It has nothing to do with minors.

On the surface without having context one might erroneously assume that the title is provocative. Nothing could be further from the truth, unless a smattering of spirituality leaves one offended or nonplussed.

It was released in the 80s and certainly has that musical aesthetic. It is sung by female artist Jamie Kearney lead vocalist for the band. Her hope was to encourage all of us to feel worth, and allow ourselves to be a conduit for light and love and share those all to rare commodities with one another, even the whole world.

My apologies for interrupting. I now return you to your regularly scheduled forum already in progress.
