NaNoWriMo - any other participants?

Thanks to other things going on, I was unable to even get past 10K. Nonetheless, congrats to those of you that will succeed!

Hey, thanks JHM and Robin for the heads up, much appreciated!

I'm almost there, I'm at 46,657 right now, and I "only" have a flight to Cape Town, and a safari to cover, all leading up to the all important last words of the "novel" -"Will you marry me?"- (A nice cliff hanger, leaving the option for a sequel open) so if all goes well I'll make it!

And I'll be só glad when I hit that elusive 50,000 mark!
It's fun when you start out on the 1st of the month, it's all new and exciting, and then as the month progresses it sort of becomes a chore really, like doing the dirty dishes, or dusting the furniture, you don't really like to do it, but it has to be done.

Don't know whether I'll participate again next year.
At the moment I see "novel writing" as parachute-jumping : fun to do once, but not something I'd become addicted to.

We'll see....

Week Two is famous among WriMo's... there isn't a soul who doesn't hate his/her story after the 7th of November. But it picks up in the end.

As for me: I have 6,620 words to go. I have arrived at the final scene, but there is one key scene I have not written yet. So I will definitely make it.
Too bad I have 0 writing time tomorrow.

I DID IT !!!!!

Somehow I managed to write a 50,000 word novel in just 27 days!


Pffffffffff *slumps back in chair, and sighs "never again"*


Okay, so what I wrote is complete drivel, in all honesty, but actually it somehow has a story line and a plot and character building and everything.

I won't be the next JK Rowling, that I know now, and I'm not sure I'll participate again next year, but it sure was fun!
