Nascar 2010

Yeah I'm ready for the Shootout. It's usually one of the best races of the season.

Do they really need Danica in Nascar? They already have a little temper tantrum throwing princess with Kyle Bush. :lol:

I couldn't agree more about Shrub. I guess every open-wheel driver wants to take a dip in Nascar since it's a more popular form of racing here in the US. Not sure how she's gonna do but at least she's in good equipment.

I'm excited for the season to start, I'm a Dale Jr. fan so dont really know what to expect...I do like Mark too. Cool that there are other Nascar fans here on JUB, racing is pretty much my passion and its about impossible to find gay guys who are into it.

I hear ya on the whole gay Nascar fans. Not too many that I know of. Nascar has always been my passion as well. I grew up as a die hard Earnhardt fan. I'm a car guy so Nascar kinda just came naturally.

Hit me up if you wanna chat about racing anytime...
 
Well this Aussie is starting to get into Nascar since Marcos Ambrose joined the ranks.

I initially found it a little boring as they are just going around in circles. But it is growing on me.

Some of the races last year were so boring I actually fell asleep! I'm a Marcos Ambrose fan as well. I pretty much like everyone except Jeff Gordon, Jimmie Johnson, Kurt Busch , and his whiny little brother Kyle. Marcos is always entertaining and is always in a upbeat mood. I hope he wins a race this year!
 
Definitely excited! Pretty sucking ending to the shootout though if you ask me. :( Wanted to see it come right down to it. Oh, well, it was really interesting. They stuck right together the whole time. Good racing for sure. Lots of slick moves.

Not really a Jr. fan, though. I can't understand why everyone flocks to him. He's not the great, if he were... he could take almost anything and pull some kind of good out of it. He consistently sucks... but that's a debate for another time. :)
Anyway, rooting for Edwards, Stewart, Newman, Waltrip, and Martin this year.

Got season tickets to Bristol! Both Bristol races in one season?! :) Heck yeah! So damn excited. Anyone else headed down?

Got tickets to Charlotte too, and maybe Talladega. Who knows? I'm exciteddddd.

Gonna be a bad ass season. Danica would make a nice change, I'd like to see a woman in NASCAR. Kyle Busch does all the bitching, so no need to worry about that. :)

I went to Bristol for the spring race in '05. Awesome. Love to go again someday.

Personally, I'd like to see Danica punch Kyle right in the nose. She could lay him out flat I'm sure....

I've never went to a race, but have plans on doing the whole Daytona speed weeks one of these years.
 
Wow, I've been to several tracks.

Bristol 4 times.
Martinsville 2 times.
Daytona once, but not during a race.
Charlotte 4 times.
Atlanta once.
Kentucky once.

I plan on being at both Charlotte races, it's only 20 minutes from me so pretty much my second home...only other tracks I've been to are Martinsville once and Darlington twice. And Rockingham but after they quit running Cup races there. I'm right with you on Daytona speedweeks, if I ever get the finances I'd love to go spend 2 or 3 weeks down there.
 
Tracks I've been to:

Atlanta - 1999 fall race (only race I got to see Dale Sr. race in)
Charlotte - 2003 Coke 600 (rained...Jimmie Johnson won)
Bristol - 2005 Spring race (Kevin Harvick won)

I really want to go to Daytona and Talladega....

Awesome. I'll be down for both races. Dad and I always try to come down and stay the weekend. Assuming we can get a room. If not, we may shack up at your place.

I kick myself because I used to live in Melbourne, which is only about 45 minutes from Daytona yet I never went to a race! Maybe I can get tix to the July race...

I hope you are bragging about Mark Martin all year too! I hope he wins the title and Junior finishes 2nd....

I mainly complain about the Busch brothers, and the hype around Junior.

I used to live in St. Augustine. The only good thing about it was living 45 minutes from the track. (!)
