I just heard on CNN that Natasha Richardson died this afternoon from the injuries she sustained in her skiing accident. :(

How sad. Life is a precious gift and we never know when it will be taken from us.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to her family.
 
So sad. She told them right after the accident that she felt fine but she had sustained internal injuries.

I feel for her and her family. I remember her as a great actress in a few roles I've seen her portray. May God keep her and her family.

Actress Richardson dies aged 45

British actress Natasha Richardson has died from injuries sustained in a skiing accident, her husband Liam Neeson's publicist has said.

Richardson, 45, who was a member of the Redgrave family, fell on a beginners' slope at the Mont Tremblant resort in Canada on Monday.

She initially showed no sign of injury after the incident.

Relatives had gathered at her bedside at the Lenox Hill hospital in New York where she had been transferred.

She was later taken to hospital after feeling unwell and it was confirmed her injuries were critical.

Richardson starred on film and TV but won most acclaim for her stage work.

That is tragic, Just a little fall and she died? My best wishes go out to her family. R.I.P.
 
Her sons are only age 12 and 13.

Now, without so much as a warning, their Mom is taken away from them.

How terribly sad.

You can't prepare yourself for something like this happening. A million people can fall like that without so much as a bruised elbow, and then. . .

May her family find strength in each other.

May I add that her mother Vanessa Redgrave is one of the best actresses out there.
 
That really is so sad...
It'd odd how when you hear that a celebrity dies a it seems that a majority of people are saddened over their passing. I remember when the singer Aaliyah died some years ago - I was so sad and cried so much.
 
I don't even know of her that well, but I remember seeing her on Top Chef this year. I feel very sad right now and I can't explain it. Maybe because she died so unexpectedly and so young.

I had a friend who fell in her home and hit her head in the tile floor. At first, she seemed fine, but within hours she was dead due to internal bleeding.

Good advice... Given the fact that most people who suffer from an acute subdural hematoma don't survive, especially those resulting from falls, accidents and blunt force trauma.
