I would be curious to know how many of these self-proclaimed Nazis had fathers or uncles or grandfathers who died during WWII fighting against the very thing that their progeny are proclaiming and fighting for. Then I would be curious to know what they thought of those ancestors,

I saw that more as a statement to fellow citizens in general, but I suppose you're right, it's reasonable to view it as generalized baiting targeting forum members. With regard to countering the insult, nobody indicated they thought “we are too stupid to see the threat” and insinuating they did think that constitutes excessive baiting. We should all try to avoid interpersonal commentary and baiting remarks.

At the time, during the war, there were many Americans who said "Germany is a long way away, we should look to our own business first, don't get involved"
Today, some voices, not as many, but still too many, say "Ukraine is a long way away etc etc"
So I don't think you can rely on those who gave their lives in the fight against fascism always getting as much gratitude as they deserve.
Particularly when far right group attract ignorant, barely educated members who can't understand the concept of learning from history.
 
The far right gets hard at the thought of an autocratic fascist system where 30% of the country get to control the levers of power in order to punish another 30% of the country while the rest of the country watches.
 
I think you may be overestimating their grasp of advanced mathematical terms like 30%, but since the men have so little luck with their women, they need to find some way of getting boned up.
