nbc's "kings"

Tonight's episode was pretty damn good. I'm placing the rest in spoiler tags.
I loved Jack's reaction to David walking away from the stripper to go back to his love. Sebastian pulled off the emotion well. I wasn't sure if he was angry that David was being so goody-goody that it infuriated him, or if he hated the fact that David is possibly in love with his sister for real, leaving no room for him...or both? And I felt bad for Silas. He had to walk away from his own love and child in order to keep them safe from harm.

^^Damn straight it was a good episode. I'm loving the way things are progressing. It's always good to see Silas's gentler side, it adds depth to his character. What makes it all the better is that we get this side when he is interacting with his mistress and bastard. Technically, it's wrong, but you can't help but feel sympathy for him. He seems closer to his secret family than his legitimate one.
As for Jack, I loved seeing his reaction to David leaving. I think he got so upset because David can do what he can't: walk away from the temptations and problems of royal life, and go after what he really wants. David walked away from his would-be seductress because, at the end of the day, he has his eye on the princess. Jack turned his back on a man who loved him, and who he probably loved in turn, in order to keep the playboy charade going, and ultimately keep himself a viable option for heir apparent.

Still loving this show but I am fearful that the network will cut it after this season and leave us with a big question mark. First they push it to Friday nights, then they take it off the market for a few weeks, and now it is on Saturday nights. It looks like they are lining the show up to die.

It does suck if they cancel it. I am loving the show.

I hope they give it another chance. I think Saturday is a bad day to put it on though.

Saturday is where the networks put shows on to die. It didnt used to be that way but it is now. Its a damn shame because "Kings" may be the best written hour drama that's not on a cable network. Ive seen every episode and there isnt a bad one in the bunch. The acting is superb, especially McShane (no surprise there). The show is also beautifully shot and well scored, each episode looks and sounds like a mini movie. Lets hope NBC gives it a green light for 2010, or barring that another network or cable channel picks it up if they don't.

^^^ - I would hope a network like HBO or Showtime picks it up. That way we can get a little bit more frisky and dark. Wouldn't mind seeing a little action between David and Jonathan.

Such a good episode saturday. I hope hope hope they don't cancel it.
