I would've banged Dez last season and I still would this season. I don't care if he's straight, bi, gay, curious, no so curious, questioning, whatever.

And with Melatnie. Seriously. I loved her rendition of "Toxic" but it all went downhill afterwards. "Toxic" has been done by every artist, so in my head I thought shed come back week to week with even better performances. She's just not executing the songs the way I thought she would :/


I like Amanda Brown's performance last night. The past couple times were ok. Dream On was interesting. IT wasn't the best, but she enjoyed it. It was a nice performance...just not the best it could have been. So I was definitely blown away from the Grace Potter song. I liked Michaela Paige, but she's gone now. Cassadee's good. Their performance with the guy and Blake for "Life's a Highway" I felt was one of the best group performances so far.

I'm still bitter that Jordan Pruitt and the guy who makes interesting arrangements of pop songs are both gone. I'm sure I'm sad that others are gone as well.

And Cody is adorable with his shimmy shimmying shimmies
 
First off, I just want to say that it seemed to me that Christina was totally on auto-pilot last nite. She just had no interest in what was going on around her.

Cody IMO was one of the worst last nite. He'll get through due to the fangirls.

Oh Trevan. WTH was he thinking doing Usher. As a former band geek [trumpet], I know the hardest part outside of control, is learning when to breathe in a piece of music. Trevan was building up to the final note and during that "crescendo", you hear a giant gasp for air and it literally sucked the life out of the song. He definitely has the range but as a singer, he needs A LOT more training. My former teacher/conductor always said that if you can't sustain air for at least 8 bars [in common time], in a piece of music, you have no business "playing" a musical instrument.
 
Amanda Brown was the stand out for me last night...I voted for her and Cody
 
Amanda Brown in the "bottom 3" (I don't she was actually third to last) was a surprised. What was not a surprise is who went home. The douche with the fedora is finally gone and Sylvia is easily forgettable.
 
I'm kinda shocked to see Sylvia go. I liked her a lot. I just think picking such a current song was the kiss of death. If the song isn't selling for the actual artist...it won't do the same for you.

But I can honestly say that I like everyone that was in the Top 10...with the exception of Bryan.

Amanda, Cassadee, Trevin are the standouts now. But I don't think anyone should sleep on the rest of the group. They are all pretty damn good.
 
I think Christina made a mistake when she sent Deborah home. It isn't that the girls she kept werent' likeable or talented but Deborah had a really cool vibe and a great stage presence...I suspect she would have been a top five contender. I miss her alot.
 
I don't get Cody....I think he definitely has a voice...but I don't think he's choosing the right songs for it. His performances are always a bit off for me.

um...De'borah was a guy. There's a lot of androgynous guys/closet cases on this season.
 
Most of you are missing the point of the show. You like this person would you pay money to hear them sing? You do not become a star just singing, you need a hit song, and if you sing somebody else's song you get only 10%. The coaches are looking for that next star, so whatever song they give them is to help them win, they are not trying to lose, they are the experts, nobody's perfect.

This is something my roomie talk about a lot when we watch the show. There is a lot of talent on the show but there is little soul to it. I immediately axe a singer if they cannot play a musical instrument [having met several music majors, one cannot major in "voice".] There are plenty of talented singers that should be relegated to musical theatre because they have no soul/emotion behind what they sing. Perfect example is Trevan. He can sing ballads with relative ease, but he has no depth. On the flip side, Melanie has a ton of soul but her singing voice is "limited".

Reckon this is from The Voice UK, but this performance by Bo Bruce is what got me hooked on her. She reminds me a lot of Florence + The Machine. You can feel her emotion in the song despite it not being her own and she can sing too...

The two pretty boys went home [Dez and Colby]! The competition has a purpose!!! I thought that the producers would save Dez so Christina has something to do but kudos to let America vote. Kind of sad that after having her album tank and now this, Christina is hitting new lows all over.

Christina's team was stacked to the brim with wannabe pop stars and those are a dime a dozen so it's no surprise her team fell. She picked her team horribly and her piss-poor attitude on the show doesn't help either. They are not judges but are coaches/mentors and Christina seems far more interested in herself than her team. Her backhands, in particular to other females on the show is appalling. Also kind of sad when Adam out divas Christina. A lot of people can't wait till she's off the show.

As for Cody, Queen is always a death nail for performers. They are one of those artists you should never touch in a singing competition.

I'm, expecting Trevan and Melanie to go home next week but we shall see.

OMG I'm hooked now on Bo Bruce. I do see the similarity. The problem for me is that when Melanie sings, it always sounds like she's trying to whisper and be all Lindsay Pavao (which got old even the second season).

Kind of sad to see Dez go. You'd think that since he gets the biggest applause he'd still be in.
 
Christina has looked at bit "off" this season...she has had a few Paula Abdul moments and that is uncomfortable to watch because I like her. I am sorry to see Cody leave...Dez was just OK for me.

So...does Christina still sit on the panel now that she has no team?
 
i think she will still stay on the panel just to offer her critique and fill a chair, it would look weird with an empty seat between ceelo and blake.

also i think their might be a winner's bonus, to the winning coach, like last season blake had to get maybe an extra half a mil or something cause his person won the show.

christina probly feels like crap she has the worst running of any of the coachs (Joint 3rd in season 1 and 4th in season 2, eliminated in season 3) atl east adam won a season, blake won a season and had a runner up and ceelo had a runner up (my bitch Juliet)
